The 12th China International Lubricants and Application Technology Exhibition Opens

On November 16, the 12th China International Lubricants and Application Technology Exhibition (Inter Lubric China 2011), jointly hosted by PetroChina Lubricant Company, Sinopec Lubricant Company and the Shanghai branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, opened grandly at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing. Yang Junjie, Chief Engineer of our company, and relevant leaders of the market development department attended the opening ceremony. Chief Engineer Yang Junjie delivered the opening speech, pointing out that innovating industrial technology and promoting the green development of the industry have become the future direction of the lubricant industry, and calling on industry peers to intensify R&D of energy-saving and environmentally friendly lubricant technologies so as to promote the healthy development of the industry.

The China International Lubricants and Application Technology Exhibition was first held in Shanghai in 2000. After eleven years of growth, it has attracted more than 1,300 Chinese and foreign lubricant-related enterprises to exhibit, and has become recognized in the domestic lubricant industry as the most authoritative, professional and international brand exhibition, playing a positive role in strengthening international exchange and cooperation in China's lubricant industry and in promoting the healthy development of the industry.

In his speech at the opening ceremony, Chief Engineer Yang Junjie of our company pointed out that China has now become the world's second-largest lubricant producer and consumer, consuming more than 15 percent of the world's lubricants and nearly 40 percent of its greases; the rapid progress of the automotive industry and the development of energy conservation, emission reduction and the low-carbon economy have all set new requirements for the future development of the lubricant industry, making it urgent to drive the industry toward green, energy-saving development. As a leading brand in the domestic lubricant industry, Kunlun Lubricant will continue to work on technological breakthroughs to achieve environmental protection and energy savings in vehicle oils and to promote the healthy development of the lubricant industry.

Over more than a decade of development, our company has always taken supporting China's automotive industry and providing vehicles with the best lubricating products as an important business philosophy. Relying on the two major R&D centers in Dalian and Lanzhou, we have promoted the formation of scientific achievements with independent intellectual property rights and progress in energy-saving and environmentally friendly lubricant technologies, achieving many innovations, including the development of the alkyl salicylate series of products, which feature independent intellectual property rights and energy-saving and environmentally friendly characteristics, and we have brought high-grade energy-saving lubricant series such as Kunlun Tianyuan and Tianrun to the market. The project Preparation Technology and Industrial Application of Extreme-Pressure Anti-wear Additives and Additive Packages for Gear Oils even rewrote the history of gear oil additives being long monopolized by foreign companies, and won the second prize of the National Technology Invention Award. In August this year, our company also jointly initiated a joint laboratory for automotive lubricant research with Shanghai Jiao Tong University, dedicated to the R&D of lubricants for new energy vehicles (electric vehicles).
