Sustained Care: Kunlun Lubricant Holds Recuperation Program for Good Samaritans Behind the Wheel

Recently, the China Foundation for Justice and Courage, PetroChina and Kunlun Lubricant jointly organized the first Kunlun Lubricant Award recuperation program for the ten national good Samaritan drivers, in which 16 such drivers from 10 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government took part.
The drivers attending the program were winners of the first and second Kunlun Lubricant Award for good Samaritan drivers. After receiving the honors, they did not rest on their laurels but continued to devote themselves with great enthusiasm to the cause of justice and courage. Among them, some eagerly rescued the injured in traffic accidents and bought precious time to save lives; some actively joined volunteer anti-pickpocketing work and made important contributions to public order; and some called on taxi drivers citywide to join the movement of doing good deeds, jointly upholding social integrity.
The drivers' enthusiasm for courageous acts has continued, and Kunlun Lubricant's care for them has never stopped. This recuperation program is a manifestation of the sustained care that the foundation and PetroChina Lubricant Company extend to good drivers.
Jia Chunwang, former Procurator-General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, former Minister of Public Security and Chairman of the China Foundation for Justice and Courage, said that good Samaritan drivers have played an important role in protecting the interests of the state and the collective and the safety of people's lives and property, and have contributed to maintaining social stability and building a harmonious society. This recuperation program reflects the Party and the people's concern and affection for models of justice and courage.
Li Shuntao, Vice Chairman of the China Foundation for Justice and Courage, pointed out while meeting the good Samaritan drivers attending the program: 'Many years have passed, but the Party and the government have not forgotten these good Samaritan drivers. This recuperation program is one way for the organizers to express their lasting care.'
About the Kunlun Lubricant Award for good Samaritan drivers: the campaign is hosted by the China Foundation for Justice and Courage and China National Petroleum Corporation, undertaken by PetroChina Kunlun Lubricant Company, which also provides the funding. It aims to advocate the spirit of courage for justice and to promote social integrity. Since its launch, a total of 253 drivers have won the award, forming a phalanx of heroes that plays an important role in building a harmonious society.
