Kunlun Lubricants and Sinotruk Wangpai Sign a Strategic Cooperation Agreement

On the morning of June 9, PetroChina's lubricant company and China National Heavy Duty Truck Wangpai Commercial Vehicle Company (Sinotruk Wangpai) signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two sides will carry out all-round, multi-dimensional cooperation in lubricant development as well as complete vehicles, engines, transmissions, differentials and after-sales service. With this, Kunlun Lubricants gains exclusive entry to Sinotruk Wangpai and exclusive supply of lubricants for vehicles fitted with the world-brand German MAN engine; the lubricant company expects annual sales revenue of more than 80 million yuan, and Sinotruk Wangpai produces more than 70,000 vehicles a year, creating another glorious OEM achievement for a complete vehicle manufacturer.

After the signing ceremony, accompanied by Jin Wensheng, Party Committee Secretary and General Manager of Sinotruk Wangpai, the delegation visited the factory production line.
During the visit, Jin Wensheng introduced to the delegates the company's development history, production and operations, product structure, marketing, technology R&D and product manufacturing.
Following the staff's explanations, the delegation arrived at the workshop site. The modern, leading three-side punching machine for U-shaped frame longitudinal beams operated in an orderly manner, and its top-notch advanced technology as well as the high precision, high efficiency and high quality of the products it produced kept drawing the delegates' attention; they could not help but move closer to the production line.

At the heavy and medium truck final assembly line, the busy yet orderly production site gave the delegates a sense of modern vitality. The spacious plant building, robot production lines, overhead transport channels, cab assembly lines, engine hoisting lines, parts placement areas and so on – every line, every piece of equipment, every component and every product deeply attracted the delegates, who looked and exchanged views as they went; from upstream to downstream of the products, from the first process to the last, they truly witnessed the production process of every Sinotruk Wangpai vehicle, leaving a deep impression.

At the cab stamping and welding production line, equipment roared and welding sparks flew as robotic arms flexibly rotated to weld assemblies, the whole process orderly. As one North China transport representative put it: "In an automobile factory, only the use of intelligent mechanized assembly manufacturing can truly guarantee product quality. And I never imagined that Sinotruk Wangpai's production processes had already entered the high-end intelligent stage."

In the product display area, Sinotruk Wangpai's heavy and medium trucks were arranged in order, the whole vehicle yard imposing and powerful. Heavy trucks, medium trucks, light trucks, mini trucks, special-purpose vehicles and new energy vehicles seemed to line up for the delegates' inspection. The delegates kept sizing them up, touching them and taking test rides, and from time to time asked technical personnel questions. After learning about the cost-performance of Sinotruk Wangpai products, everyone expressed great approval and gave the thumbs-up, which also set their minds at ease about the cooperation between the two sides.

As General Manager Jin Wensheng announced "Sinotruk Wangpai's driving skills performance begins now", four imposing and powerful W5-series heavy trucks built by Sinotruk Wangpai started up briskly, orderly opening the driving skills performance.
The drivers skillfully drove the Sinotruk Wangpai vehicles: single-file formation, slalom through poles, single-vehicle 180-degree U-turn drift, two-vehicle drift, driverless drift and more, drawing non-stop cheers and vigorous applause from the delegates and truly achieving a perfect fusion of people, vehicles and skills. The site rose to one climax after another, fully demonstrating the product performance of Sinotruk Wangpai; at the same time the most thrilling driving skills simulated harsh road conditions and overloaded and over-limit operation, once again leaving everyone with deep memories.

At the signing ceremony with Sinotruk Wangpai, Sun Shuhao, Deputy General Manager of PetroChina's lubricant company, said that after more than ten years of development, PetroChina's lubricant company had achieved sustained growth in total sales, continuous improvement in its product structure, continuous enhancement of production support capability, continuous strengthening of market control capability and continuous improvement in new product R&D capability, and had brought about a substantive transformation from resource supply to brand operation. At present, the company has internationally advanced analysis and evaluation equipment, the lubricant laboratory uniquely granted the title "Industrial Product Quality Control and Technical Evaluation Laboratory" by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the only enterprise postdoctoral workstation in the lubricant industry. The lubricant company has also won "National Awards" three times, filling a gap in national science and technology awards for the lubricant industry.
