Kunlun Tianwei Creates a High-End Truck Lubricant

On March 19 the 'Earth Hour' campaign, themed ''Blue' Living', struck a wide chord across the country. Starting from the blue skies the public longs for, it called on the public to begin with clothing, food, housing and transport and, through each person's small changes, to make smog a thing of the past and bring the blue sky back. In January this year, China National Petroleum Corporation and China FAW Group Corporation signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing. The two sides jointly established a joint laboratory and will increase research and development efforts on follow-up lubricant products; they will also develop long-life lubricant products in a targeted way according to the full range of FAW Group's models, promoting technological progress. This will greatly advance the pace of Kunlun Lubricant's research and development of lubricating oils for new energy vehicles.
Constantly strengthening cooperation with automobile enterprises and relevant organizations and customizing dedicated lubricant products for manufacturers' different needs has long been Kunlun Lubricant's way of development. At present Kunlun Lubricant has set up an 'Automotive Oil Joint Laboratory' with the FAW Technology Center, an 'Automotive Oil Joint Laboratory' with the China National Heavy Duty Truck Technology Development Center, a 'PetroChina Lubricant Company Cooperation and Joint Laboratory' with the Jichai Power General Plant of CNPC, a 'Shanghai Jiao Tong University Automotive Lubricant Research Joint Laboratory' with Shanghai Jiao Tong University and an 'Advanced Lubricant Materials Joint Laboratory' with Zhejiang University, among others. In scientific research too Kunlun Lubricant has strong capabilities. It has two major R&D centers in Dalian and Lanzhou, has obtained national laboratory accreditation and third-party oil testing qualifications and has exceptionally strong research and development capacity; many products have won national science and technology progress awards, national technological invention awards and national invention patents. The Lanzhou R&D Center is moreover the first in China's lubricant industry to win a National Invention Award. Among them, Kunlun Tianrun, as a high-end passenger car oil, uses top international high-performance PAO base oil combined with the latest high-performance complex additive formulation technology, and its anti-wear performance is more than 70 percent better than the API standard. At the same time, the unique additive formulation technology of this series not only reduces the sulphur and phosphorus content of the product but also improves the oil's oxidation and wear resistance, making it more energy-saving and environmentally friendly; second, the Kunlun Lubricant Tianwei series of diesel engine oils has also reached a high-end level, with production using an energy-saving and environmentally friendly formulation system that helps reduce fuel consumption. These high-grade lubricants not only perform excellently in cleaning ability, anti-wear and anti-corrosion ability and durability, but also effectively reduce the emission of pollutants in vehicle exhaust, meeting ever higher energy-saving and emission-reduction requirements.
Recently PetroChina's first skid-mounted diesel exhaust fluid station went into official operation, advancing the process of diesel vehicles meeting the China IV standard; this is another measure by Kunlun Lubricant in energy saving and environmental protection. 'Kunlun Star' diesel exhaust fluid has good overall performance and can effectively reduce the formation of deposits, keep nozzles clear and achieve the best atomization effect, improving conversion efficiency, thereby reducing the amount of vehicle urea injected and lowering the cost of use; at the same time it can continuously and effectively protect the SCR system and clean the pipelines, further reducing particulate emissions in the exhaust so that the vehicle has more power and always runs efficiently.
