Company Holds Special Legal Training on Contract Performance and Liability for Breach

On the afternoon of March 19, the company held special legal training on 'Contract Performance and Liability for Breach'.
The training invited Professor Wang Yi of the Law School of Renmin University of China to lecture. Wang Yi gave an in-depth, systematic explanation of key issues in contract performance and liability for breach, in particular a detailed and thorough treatment of the principles of contract performance, the right of defense in contract performance, preservation of claims, the constitutive elements of liability for breach, the forms of bearing liability for breach and grounds of defense. This gave participants a deep understanding of the contractual obligations and relevant legal provisions that parties should note in contract performance, a profound appreciation of the protection of parties' rights after a breach, and important inspiration for preventing contract risks in the future. The lecture greatly raised participants' legal awareness and supplemented their contract knowledge.
Wang Yi's special lecture reminds us to strengthen a contract-based mindset and improve our ability to act honestly and fairly. The enterprise should vigorously advocate the spirit of contract and take the lead in forming a good atmosphere in which everyone values good faith, equality, rights and obligations, and responsibility, so that the spirit of contract permeates every field and link of enterprise operation and management. We should establish the concept of equality and mutual benefit, treat partners, suppliers, contractors and customers fairly, honor contracts and keep promises, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of all parties and promote mutual benefit and win-win outcomes. At the same time, we should strengthen our duty of care during contract performance and, on the principle that whoever handles the matter is responsible for it, actually and fully perform every contract that has been concluded and taken effect, avoiding liability for breach arising from our own fault and effectively preventing and controlling contract risks.
Nearly 500 people took part in the training, including some members of the company's leadership team, the assistant to the general manager, heads of headquarters departments, members of secondary unit leadership teams, middle-level cadres and relevant business staff.
