Kunlun Lubricant Keeps Innovating: Two High-Pressure Anti-Wear Hydraulic Oils Pass Authoritative Certification

On March 30, two high-pressure anti-wear hydraulic oils from PetroChina Kunlun Lubricant, L-HV46/D and L-HS22/D, passed expert technical certification at the Dalian Lubricant Plant, laying a solid foundation for the promotion and application of hydraulic oils for marine use.
The authoritative certification committee, composed of seven experts from the Fuel and Energy Bureau of the Logistics Support Department of the Central Military Commission, the Military Representative Bureau for Fuel, the Fuel Research Institute, the Fuel Supervision Division of the Naval Logistics Department and the Naval Logistics Technology and Equipment Research Institute, first heard the Dalian Lubricant Plant's report on industrial trial production of the two high-pressure anti-wear hydraulic oils and its introduction to the quality assurance system. It then visited the site to learn in detail about implementation of the military oil production management system and visited the key lubricant laboratory of PetroChina at the Dalian Lubricant R&D Center.
Kunlun Lubricant has a particularly high market share in naval ship lubricants. More than 90 percent of the lubricants used by the navy are Kunlun lubricants. The general-purpose marine diesel engine oil developed by the Dalian R&D Center has also been successfully applied in the Chinese navy's escort formation off Somalia and withstood the test of actual operations.
The Dalian R&D Center is currently the most advanced lubricant research institution in China, with more than 1,500 sets of internationally advanced analysis and evaluation equipment; it is China's most complete and best-equipped oil research, development and testing center and the only lubricant laboratory awarded the title 'Laboratory for Industrial Product Quality Control and Technical Evaluation' by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
In recent years, in line with the needs of military development, a number of new types of military engineering equipment whose overall performance has reached or surpassed the international advanced level have entered service with the armed forces one after another. To meet the lubrication needs of the hydraulic components of the new engineering equipment, the Lubricant Company pooled its strength to comprehensively improve the performance of hydraulic system oils. The L-HV46/D and L-HS22/D high-pressure anti-wear hydraulic oils it developed and produced can not only solve the problem of oil supply for the hydraulic systems of a new generation of engineering equipment but will also provide strong support for the hydraulic systems of engineering equipment commissioned in the 1980s and 1990s. According to the appraisal at this certification meeting, the new oils can replace comparable domestic and foreign products of the corresponding grade and be used in the hydraulic systems of all types of engineering machinery, armored equipment and vehicle equipment; they have quite good general applicability, broad prospects for promotion and application, and great significance for localizing equipment oils and simplifying oil grades.
