Kunlun Lubricant Chengdu Plant Establishes a Miniature Fire Station

In accordance with the requirements of the 'Chengdu Miniature Fire Station Construction Work Plan', the Chengdu Plant formally established a miniature fire station on January 4 and carried out its first professional training on March 4.
Establishing a miniature fire station can give full play to the advantages of personnel's familiarity with the area under their jurisdiction, rapid response and strong mobility, with the main task being to fight fires early and extinguish them while they are small. Once a fire breaks out, the firefighting team can reach the scene quickly from nearby and minimize the impact and losses of the fire accident.
In the early stage of building the station, the Chengdu Plant took the provision of hardware facilities as the foundation and the improvement of personnel's emergency response, patrol and inspection capabilities as the focus, perfecting rules and regulations and insisting on building the station to high standards. The station now has 15 firefighters, a duty monitoring room and a materials and equipment warehouse, and is equipped with 17 categories and 233 items of professional firefighting equipment and apparatus for fire extinguishing, forcible entry and personal protection, a complete range of types.
On March 4 the Chengdu Plant carried out its first professional training, focusing on basic subjects such as firefighters dressing on the spot, correctly wearing air breathing apparatus, connecting two and five lengths of fire hose, operating the water jet posture, and unarmed carrying of casualties in the back-carry, cradling, stretcher and shoulder-carry methods. The training strengthened the firefighters' awareness of fire safety, improved their practical ability in rescue, self-rescue and mutual rescue and raised the level of professionalism in emergency rescue.
Next, the Chengdu Plant will further advance its level of fire safety management and its ability to defend against fire in the area, raise awareness of fire safety and of responsibility, and carry out regular publicity and training to ensure that the miniature fire station delivers real results.
