Company Holds Launch Meeting for First-half Major Work Safety Inspection

On April 9, the company held the launch meeting for the first-half major work safety inspection by video conference, comprehensively deploying the inspection. The meeting required all units to earnestly organize risk screening, effectively implement the enterprise's principal responsibility for work safety, fortify the 'lifeline' of safety and environmental protection and curb and reduce accidents at the source.
The meeting arranged and deployed the inspection content and its specific implementation, setting requirements for the inspection: all units should clearly understand the current situation of strict supervision, actively adapt to the new normal and actively respond to new challenges. Managers at all levels must not relax strict supervision and must persist in consolidating the foundations without slackening. Through inspections they should promptly identify safety and environmental hazards and low standards in site management, promptly analyze the hazards and the shortcomings in safety management at a deeper level, take preventive measures promptly to reduce risks and ultimately eliminate hazards, effectively raising the company's risk control capability.
The meeting arranged that the inspection should focus on eight categories of safety and environmental hazards and follow ten inspection priorities set out in the plan: first, implementation of the safety and environmental protection responsibility system; second, employee training and compliance of enterprise operations; third, prevention of falls during loading and unloading; fourth, review of operating procedures and emergency drills; fifth, management of specialized HSE contracts with contractors; sixth, treatment of safety and environmental hazards; seventh, rectification of problems found in previous audits and inspections; eighth, safety management of owned or leased warehouses; ninth, safety management of non-production areas; and tenth, application for 2015 safety and environmental hazard treatment projects. Each inspection team should check against the corresponding requirements. Leaders at all levels should personally lead on-site inspections, personally organize problem analysis and personally draw up audit and rectification plans, truly putting visible leadership and territorial management requirements into practice. Inspections should be all-round, bringing leased warehouses, owned warehouses and commissioned processing sites within their scope, with no blind spots and full coverage.
The meeting stressed that with April's warmer weather, various construction, inspection and maintenance operations will start one after another and local governments and higher-level units will conduct many inspections, which can easily distract attention. All units should always maintain the high-pressure posture of strict supervision, strengthen on-site supervision, correctly grasp and handle the relationship between governing the enterprise according to law and work safety and environmental protection, earnestly improve their work style and, through inspections, genuinely discover safety and environmental hazards, plug holes in safety management and raise the company's safety and environmental management level at its core.
