Kunlun Lubricants helps localize the oil supply for CHN Energy's Zhunneng Group.

On December 12, two Kunlun Lubricants products—Kunlun engineering machinery diesel engine oil (Komatsu a) and Kunlun HV32 low-temperature hydraulic oil—successfully passed 500-hour operation tests at Zhunneng Group's auto repair workshop and engineering machinery workshop respectively, and have already been applied on 29 large self-dumping mining trucks and 66 various engineering machinery vehicles. This marks that Kunlun Lubricants' engineering machinery diesel engine oil and Kunlun low-temperature hydraulic oil have successfully broken the foreign monopoly and have been applied for the first time on the core equipment of a large open-pit mine with a capacity of more than 30 million tonnes. To date, the two products have performed well and have won unanimous recognition throughout Zhunneng Group.
CHN Energy's Zhunneng Group is a large comprehensive energy enterprise integrating coal mining, mine-mouth power generation and circular-economy industries. It owns the Heidaigou Open-Pit Coal Mine and the Harwusu Open-Pit Coal Mine, which have an annual production capacity of 69 million tonnes, along with supporting coal preparation plants, and is one of the open-pit coal mines with the largest capacity and the most advanced equipment level in Asia.
For a long time, the field of lubricating oils (greases) for large high-end equipment in open-pit coal mines has been firmly controlled by imported brands. As China's equipment manufacturing level continues to rise, localizing the lubricating oil (grease) products for the main equipment of open-pit mines has become urgent. In early 2023, Kunlun Lubricants' Beijing Branch, together with the Product Design Center and the Lanzhou R&D Center, established a project task force to jointly carry out the technical development of oils for the core equipment of Zhunneng Group's large open-pit mine. To meet the demanding oil requirements of the core equipment's harsh operating conditions, the Kunlun task force, through item-by-item investigation of Zhunneng Group's machinery and equipment and multiple technical exchanges, formulated an oil-change plan that satisfies the equipment's operating conditions and conducted trial use on Zhunneng's dump trucks. In the end, relying on its superior quality and high-quality service, Kunlun Lubricants' products successfully passed the tests and won high recognition from Zhunneng Group, achieving full trial application on the core equipment of Zhunneng's large open-pit mine in mid-October and large-scale replacement in early December.
It is worth mentioning that, in addition to the diesel engine oil and hydraulic oil with the largest consumption, products such as Kunlun SHD heavy-duty open gear grease, KPM/S fully synthetic gear oil and KO0W/30 have also been successfully applied on equipment such as electric shovels and graders at Zhunneng's Heidaigou Coal Mine, with good application results.
