Retracing the Silk Road: Kunlun Environmental Care Tour Officially Launched

On May 18, 2010, the Retracing the Silk Road, Kunlun Environmental Care Tour large-scale road test held a grand launch ceremony at the Tang Paradise in Qujiang, Xi'an. The activity attracted coverage from many well-known national media outlets, including Sina, Yahoo, Tencent, Gansu TV and Bitauto. The event was jointly organized by PetroChina Lubricant Company and Chongqing Chang'an Suzuki after consultation and cooperation. On the one hand, it served to accelerate the implementation of the strategic cooperation project with Chang'an Suzuki, further improve service quality for VIC customers, help the customer raise its vehicle management level and examine the actual on-vehicle performance of Kunlun Lubricant under different vehicle conditions; on the other hand, it aimed to practice Kunlun Lubricant's corporate philosophy of care. As the largest domestic lubricant producer, PetroChina Lubricant Company enjoys the huge advantage of integrating production, research and sales, and its Kunlun Lubricant has become the most recognized national brand in China. Chang'an Suzuki, as China's earliest automotive joint venture and an important sedan production base as well as the world leader in high-performance mini and small cars, forms with PetroChina a strategic cooperative partnership that can be described as a powerful alliance. For this cooperation, the PetroChina Lanzhou Lubricant R&D Center specially developed for Chang'an Suzuki a high-grade domestic SL 15W-30 gasoline engine oil containing molybdenum salt. This oil offers outstanding friction-reducing and energy-saving effects and has obtained exclusive domestic technical certification from Suzuki's headquarters in Japan. To better verify the outstanding performance of this oil, the Lubricant Company chose the Tianyu SX4 sedan under Chang'an Suzuki, which uses Suzuki's M series engine and has been named one of the top ten engines for three consecutive years, for road testing, with the goal of verifying that the Kunlun oil achieves a 15,000-kilometer oil drain interval. Under the sincere cooperation between Kunlun Lubricant and Chang'an Suzuki, and under the supervision and attention of news media, this activity will verify the outstanding quality of Kunlun oils and Suzuki powertrains and also provide consumers with a more reliable, more economical and more environmentally friendly combination of automotive oils. At the same time, the activity will take the opportunity of this Silk Road road test to donate to and provide one-to-one assistance to two primary schools in impoverished mountain areas along the route.
