Kunlun Dual-Fuel Engine Oil Trial Report Meeting for the Sulige Gas Field Held in Liaohe

Recently, a report meeting on the trial of Kunlun dual-fuel engine oil in the Sulige Gas Field was held in Panjin City, Liaoning Province. Leaders and equipment technicians from upstream and downstream manufacturers, including the Jinan Diesel Engine Plant, the Northwest Command Center of Great Wall Drilling, No. 1 Drilling Company and No. 2 Drilling Company, also attended the meeting. The meeting summarized the year-long trial of KCN7810D dual-fuel internal combustion engine oil, affirmed the results achieved by the trial, and jointly celebrated the success of this new type of dual-fuel internal combustion engine oil.
At the meeting, the Dalian R&D Institute, which provided technical guidance for the trial, reported the test results of Kunlun KCN7810D dual-fuel internal combustion engine oil in its trial application at the Sulige Gas Field. Since the project was launched in September of the year before last, the North China Sales Branch of Kunlun Lubricant conducted preliminary market research and technical exchanges at the Sulige Gas Field. In view of the actual conditions of the Sulige Gas Field in the Ordos Basin — low permeability, low pressure and low abundance — and in line with the purpose of "coming from the oilfield and serving the oilfield," Kunlun Lubricant decided to adopt a low-cost development strategy, developing oil products matched to new dual-fuel diesel engines, and to take on responsibility for improving the internal oil use environment and providing lubricant technical services and support. With the strong support and cooperation of various sister units, on November 3, 2007, KCN7810D dual-fuel internal combustion engine oil began an oil trial at a drilling crew's operating site. After a year of effort, the trial successfully extracted monitoring oil samples, and testing by the Dalian R&D Institute showed that all performance indicators of KCN7810D special oil met the requirements of the trial outline. Compared with ordinary engine oil and similar imported products, Kunlun KCN7810D dual-fuel internal combustion engine oil has advantages in saving energy and reducing costs and in extending equipment service life.
Through its earlier research visits to the Sulige oil and gas field and trial promotion at the Liaohe Bureau, the influence of KCN7810D dual-fuel internal combustion engine oil has attracted the attention of other drilling crews involved in oil and gas field development. So far, the North China Sales Branch of Kunlun Lubricant has provided a total of 38 drums of Kunlun KCN7810D dual-fuel internal combustion engine oil for trial use at Sulige Gas Field drilling crews and achieved sales of 40 drums (13.26 tons in total). Equipment is operating well, the oil use situation has initially opened up, and the Kunlun brand image has also been enhanced locally.
