Kunlun KI45GX Instrument Transformer Oil Successfully Enters Sino-Spanish Joint Venture Arteche Dahi

Spain's Arteche Group is one of the world's leading manufacturers of high-end instrument transformer products, with 10 investment companies and 80 technical service centres worldwide and products sold to more than 120 countries and regions. Arteche Dahi Electric Co., Ltd. is a Sino-foreign joint venture established on 1 March 2007 with joint investment from Spain's Arteche Group and China's Dalian No. 1 Instrument Transformer Co., Ltd. In June 2007, Arteche Dahi began quality assessment of products from global insulating oil suppliers; the products assessed included five from Sweden's Nynas, namely Nytro GBX, Nytro Libra, Nytro 4000A, Nytro 10Xn and Nytro GBX US, Diala GX from the Netherlands' Shell, and two products from PetroChina Lubricant Company: KI45AX and KI45GX.
In September 2007, assessment of the gassing behaviour of transformer oil under low heat was completed. According to the evaluation results of the EAHSA laboratory of Spain's Arteche Group, the lubricant company's KI45GX and Nynas' Nytro 10Xn performed best, generating the smallest amount of hydrogen. According to the evaluation results of the ADYH laboratory of Arteche Dahi, the lubricant company's KI45GX performed best. "Kunlun" KI45GX instrument transformer oil passed the assessment successfully.
In early 2008, the Northeast Sales Branch of PetroChina Lubricant Company reached an oil supply agreement with Arteche Dahi. In May 2008, the Karamay Lubricant Plant completed production of the first batch of 100 tonnes of the new KI45GX instrument transformer oil and shipped it to Arteche Dahi, where it passed inspection and met the technical requirements. In July 2008, on the basis of Arteche Dahi's second purchase plan for KI45GX, the Karamay Lubricant Plant organized production of a further 150 tonnes; all performance testing of the product is now complete and it has been loaded and dispatched to Arteche Dahi.
The successful supply to Arteche Dahi lays a solid foundation for the lubricant company to enter other subsidiaries of Spain's Arteche Group worldwide. It also proves once again that Kunlun transformer oil reaches world-leading performance levels and can keep pace with the products of Nynas and Shell, the two best-known transformer oil producers in the world.
