روغن موتور سیکلت The China Lubrication Technology Forum (2018) and the 18th Annual Meeting of the Automotive Fuel and Lubricant Branch of the Society of Automotive Engineers of China will be held on September 18–19, 2018 in Suzhou, Jiangsu. Leaders from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the China Automotive Engineering Society and OEM manufacturers, together with nearly 400 people from domestic and international lubricant companies, automakers, equipment manufacturers and well-known universities and research institutes at home and abroad, will gather at this grand event to exchange views on the current development direction and technical R&D experience of China’s lubricant industry and jointly consider the industry’s future development around the theme “New Era, New Opportunities.”
Meeting challenges together, planning the future together
In 2018, the China Lubrication Technology Forum will closely follow policy trends and market environment requirements, deeply analyze the problems facing the lubricant industry and explore ways to break through. This forum consists of two segments — conference exchange reports and interactive discussion — with a small exhibition outside the venue. Nearly 400 representatives from 153 enterprises worldwide will attend. A total of 27 reports are scheduled, covering four areas: market and trends, vehicle oils, industrial oils and others. Dr. Cheng Liang of the PetroChina Dalian Lubricant Research and Development Center will present “The Development History of Coolant Performance Evaluation Technology,” and senior engineer Jin Zhiliang of the PetroChina Lanzhou Lubricant Research and Development Center will present “Modern Passenger Car Engine Lubrication Requirements and Kunlun Lubricant Solutions.”
Compared with previous forums, this edition also has many new highlights worth noting. First, the forum has invited Academician Liu Weimin of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, along with experts and scholars from the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Society of Automotive Engineers of China, STLE, Guangzhou Mechanical Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd., Dongfeng Motor, the China Automotive Technology and Research Center, PetroChina, Sinopec and Southwest Research Institute of the United States, to lecture, with 11 specially invited reports arranged — the influence of the specially invited experts is the greatest in the forum’s history. Second, as of now nearly 400 representatives from 153 enterprises worldwide have registered, including 62 wholly foreign-owned or joint venture enterprises — both the number of participating enterprises above designated size and the number of representatives are record highs. Third, the forum has invited 31 representatives from 11 vehicle manufacturers, the highest number of OEM representatives in its history. Fourth, the forum collected 102 papers in total — since the forum’s founding, the number of submitted papers has exceeded 100 for the first time.
In addition, to enhance interaction with the customer industry and expand industry influence, this forum will be held jointly with the 18th Annual Meeting of the Automotive Fuel and Lubricant Branch of the Society of Automotive Engineers of China.
United in purpose, forging ahead
“Lubricants” magazine is affiliated with PetroChina Lubricant Company and is the only scientific and technological journal in China reporting the entire process of lubricant research, production and application. The editorial office of Lubricants founded the “Lubricant Information Station Annual Meeting” in 1987, aiming to build a professional technical exchange platform for the domestic lubricant industry. Since 2008 the meeting has been renamed the “China Lubrication Technology Forum.”

The forum has grown from fewer than 40 participants to today’s grand event of nearly 400 annual representatives, gathering global-scale lubricant enterprises, research institutions and related equipment manufacturers, and is gradually becoming the largest lubricant industry forum in China and even the Asia-Pacific region.
Over 31 years, the China Lubrication Technology Forum has also witnessed the development of China’s lubricant industry from merely meeting specifications to comprehensive customized development for customers and equipment, and technical specifications from imitation and following to independent innovation. Today the China Lubrication Technology Forum has become a weathervane for the development of the domestic lubricant industry and an important window for interaction between the domestic lubricant industry and the world, making a huge contribution to expanding the global influence of China’s lubricant industry.
