Scientific and technological breakthroughs lead the industry's green development
Mi Liping, a senior technical expert of CNPC, explained the advantages and core competitiveness of the upgraded Kunlun Tianrun and Kunlun Tianwei products to everyone.
In this fully upgraded Tianrun series of engine oils, the five major series products have been comprehensively upgraded to the latest API SP quality specification. Adhering to the brand concept of 'fearless of wear, silent in lubrication', they provide users with outstanding anti-wear and noise-reduction performance and the ultimate power experience. All along, PAO base oil, with its excellent viscosity-temperature characteristics and chemical stability, has been the best raw material for blending top-grade fully synthetic engine oils. However, the production process and technical requirements of PAO are high, and it has long been monopolized by foreign countries at a high price. In recent years, PetroChina Lubricant Company has successively overcome a series of technical difficulties in the synthesis and production of PAO, achieved large-scale production and supply, and effectively safeguarded the security of China's high-end synthetic lubricant industry chain. The top-grade Kunlun Tianrun KR9-T engine oil upgraded this time uses CNPC's PAO base oil, bringing excellent protection to vehicles.
Based on the demand for commercial vehicles under the new situation, the Kunlun Tianwei series of diesel engine oils has reshaped its product matrix. The all-new China VI CK-4 diesel engine oil can achieve full coverage of oil-change mileage from 40,000 to 150,000 and full coverage of China V, China VI and Euro VI emission vehicles; for the surge in gas heavy trucks, three China VI gas heavy truck engine oils have been added, which can meet oil-change needs of 40,000 to 100,000 kilometers. With the product core of 'fearless of wear, infinite in power', it provides users with comprehensive and precise oil use, effectively improving the attendance rate.
At the launch event, Jin Peng, a senior technical expert of CNPC, gave a keynote report on the background and course of the development of China's independent engine oil specification D1. In 2023, China's first independently innovated national standard for diesel engine oil—the D1 diesel engine oil specification national standard—which Kunlun Lubricants participated in compiling, was born, contributing to the high-quality development of China's engine and lubricant industries. Kunlun Lubricants actively participated in standard formulation as a pioneer, grasped technological leadership and product discourse power, and practiced the requirement of 'high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and self-strengthening'. The first diesel engine oil developed by Kunlun Lubricants to meet the D1 specification formed a diesel engine oil that adopts China's independent specifications, is based on independent technology development and is suitable for China's China VI emission stage and the future 20 years; the oil has a test mileage of more than 150,000 kilometers and also meets the CK-4 standard requirements, leading the industry's technological development and marking a leap in China's independent formulation technology for diesel engine oils.

At the launch event, CNPC leaders, Kunlun Lubricants leaders and representatives of Kunlun Lubricants' dealer partners jointly participated in the new product launch ceremony. Subsequently, Kunlun Lubricants signed contracts on site with dealer partners.
