East China Lubricant Plant Holds a "Safety Accompanies Me" Speech Competition

In order to further raise the safety awareness of the broad mass of employees and firmly establish the concept of "safety first, prevention foremost," on July 3, 2009 the East China Lubricant Plant held a "Safety Accompanies Me" speech competition. The excellent speeches of 10 contestants from departments including the administrative office, the packaging workshop, the blending workshop and the laboratory enabled the employees to deeply appreciate the importance of safety in production and provided a vivid lesson in safety education.

The content of the contestants' speeches was closely centred on the theme of the East China Lubricant Plant's safety month activities and developed in combination with the actual situation of the plant's safety production work. Some started from lessons drawn from others' safety accidents and from small, everyday matters, while others spoke gently from the perspective of family and kinship, deeply expressing their own understanding of the safety production policy of "safety first, prevention foremost, comprehensive management" and their grasp of safety concepts such as "safety is heaven, life is supreme," giving people profound education and enlightenment.
