Kunlun Lubricating Grease has achieved a new breakthrough in the high-end lubricating grease sector.

On September 22, 2022, Kunlun Lubricant’s grease passed the trial test for replacing imported grease at Tongling Nonferrous Metals, successfully replacing foreign grease. This marks a new breakthrough for Kunlun Lubricant products in the field of high-end greases.
For a long time, the core equipment of Tongling Nonferrous Metals Group Co., Ltd.—the anode furnaces—have been using imported lubricating grease products, which are expensive. In 2021, Tongling Nonferrous planned to standardize the oils and greases used by all its subsidiaries. The alternative solution provided by Kunlun Lubricant Nanjing Sales and Lanzhou R&D Center stood out amid fierce competition and received recognition.
The operating temperature of the anode furnace is as high as 1400℃, and it weighs up to 80 tons, all of which is borne by four bearings, resulting in extremely harsh operating conditions. Under tremendous pressure, Kunlun Lubrication’s researchers worked continuously for more than half a year, overcoming difficulties such as staff shortages and equipment failures. The development of Kunlun’s substitute lubricating grease was completed, including solution design, product preparation, and performance benchmarking. After careful consideration and repeated demonstrations, trial use began on Anode Furnace No. 3 on June 22. The day of the trial was marked by unusually high temperatures in Tongling, with the temperature in the smelting workshop reaching over 60 degrees. The researchers from Kunlun Lubrication’s Lanzhou Lubricating Grease R&D Institute braved the intense heat and, together with the technicians, completed the grease replacement with guaranteed quality and quantity, receiving high praise from the customer.
The successful R&D and substitution application of Kunlun Lubrication anode furnace grease products has enhanced the Kunlun Lubrication brand image and become a stepping stone for Kunlun Lubrication’s full range of products to enter Tongling Nonferrous Metals.
