The 'gear lubricant additive composition' won the China Patent Excellence Award; the anti-micro-pitting top-grade industrial gear oil obtained multiple international certifications; compressor oil achieved localized substitution for the first time in a propylene recycle gas compressor unit; and multiple oils replaced imports and were applied in high-end CNC machine tools. Over the past year, as the 'national team' in China's lubrication field, Kunlun Lubricants resolutely implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions and instructions on scientific and technological innovation, focused on high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and self-strengthening, achieved a series of breakthrough progress in original technology, and accelerated the formation of new quality productive forces.
Strengthen the tackling of major scientific and technological projects to form 'trump card' technologies. On March 3, 2023, Kunlun Lubricants' independent additive—basic ZDDP—successfully completed industrial testing, with comprehensive product performance superior to foreign products, breaking the single-agent technical blockade of foreign additive companies; on March 9, 2023, the 9,396-meter Asia's deepest horizontal well in the Tarim Fuman Oilfield was drilled to completion, and all the overall lubrication oil for the drilling rig's equipment came from Kunlun Lubricants, which also means that the quality of Kunlun Lubricants' oils meets the equipment lubrication requirements for advancing into 10,000-meter deep formations.
Accelerate the development of strategic emerging industries and continuously promote green and low-carbon transformation. In November 2023, Kunlun Lubricants' charging-gun coolant successfully completed bench use test verification, with comprehensive product performance comparable to similar imported brand products, breaking foreign brands' monopoly of the market; at the end of October 2023, Kunlun Lubricants signed the first purchase contract with Jinglong Electronics for Kunlun KFVA-11 perfluoropolyether fluorinated vacuum pump oil. At present, Kunlun's fluorinated vacuum pump oil runs well on its equipment, marking the first application of Kunlun Lubricants' fluorinated oil products in the country's photovoltaic manufacturing industry.
Give play to characteristic advantages and build 'product giants'. In August 2023, Kunlun Lubricants' PMA pour-point depressant passed industrial test acceptance; with good base oil applicability and low-temperature performance, the industrial-test product was well received when introduced to the market; in November 2023, Kunlun Lubricants' food-grade hydraulic oil smoothly passed an application test on key wine-making equipment at Shanxi Xinghuacun Fenjiu Group, obtaining a customer application certificate for the first time and making a new breakthrough in food-grade lubricating oil products.
Enhance the soft power of scientific and technological innovation and take the lead in formulating international standards. In June 2023, the ASTM international organization standard drafted under the leadership of Kunlun Lubricants was officially approved and released—the first original ASTM standard test method formulated by CNPC, achieving a breakthrough of ASTM standards from nothing to something. At the same time, the GB11122/D1 diesel engine oil specification, advocated and co-edited by Kunlun Lubricants, also passed standard review and was submitted for approval last year, marking the imminent birth of China's first independently innovated national standard for diesel engine oil, which is of great significance for changing the current situation in which Chinese engine lubricating oils completely adopt foreign standards. The self-developed four-stroke aviation engine oil has moved into airworthiness certification, marking that Kunlun Lubricants' research and development of civil aviation engine oil with independent intellectual property rights has entered a new stage.
