On October 19, the inspection stationing mobilization meeting was held in Beijing. Miao Wei pointed out that the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core attaches great importance to ecological civilization construction and ecological and environmental protection, takes ecological civilization construction as an important part of comprehensively advancing the 'five-sphere integrated plan' overall layout and coordinating the advancement of the 'four-pronged comprehensive strategy' strategic layout, and has promoted historic, turning-point and overall changes in China's ecological civilization construction and ecological and environmental protection. In July 2024, the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Party was held in Beijing. Dai Houliang said that as an important state-owned backbone enterprise and a comprehensive energy and chemical company, CNPC will resolutely implement Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization and the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, and take accepting the central ecological and environmental protection inspection as an important political task, doing a good job of cooperation in all respects and throughout the whole process. Dai Houliang required that Party committees at all levels of the company as well as relevant departments and units should provide materials promptly, accurately and completely, report work objectively and truthfully, reflect problems in a realistic manner, strictly implement disciplinary requirements, and make every effort to guarantee the smooth progress of the central ecological and environmental protection inspection work. It is necessary to resolutely and vigorously grasp the rectification of inspection problems, strictly implement the main responsibility for ecological and environmental protection, deeply advance the green and low-carbon transformation, and focus on building an 'oil, gas, heat, electricity and hydrogen' green industrial structure and low-carbon energy supply system, comprehensively promoting CNPC's ecological civilization construction and environmental protection work to a new level.
At the meeting, Dong Baotong put forward requirements on doing a good job in inspection cooperation, rectifying while inspecting, information disclosure, precise, scientific and law-based inspection, and effectively reducing the burden on the grassroots, and made a statement on the inspection team's entire membership strictly implementing disciplinary requirements and accepting the supervision of the inspected central enterprise and society. All members of the Central Ecological and Environmental Protection Inspection Team, relevant personnel of the Office of the Leading Group for Central Ecological and Environmental Protection Inspection, and relevant leading comrades of China National Petroleum Corporation attended the meeting. Members of the leadership teams of enterprises at the second level and above attended the meeting as non-voting participants via video conference.
According to the work arrangement, the stationing period of the 5th Central Ecological and Environmental Protection Inspection Team is one month. During the stationing period (October 19—November 19, 2024), a dedicated duty telephone number is set up: 010-85618628, and a dedicated postal mailbox: P.O. Box A02812, Chaoyang District, Beijing. The inspection team accepts report calls daily from 8:00 to 20:00. According to the requirements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council and the duties of the inspection team, the central ecological and environmental protection inspection team mainly accepts letters and calls reporting ecological and environmental protection matters of China National Petroleum Corporation; other petition and report issues not within the acceptance scope will be handled by the inspected central enterprise in accordance with regulations.
