Chengdu Lubricant Plant's "New Trunk Line" Successfully Commissioned

On October 5, the fully automatic filling lines for 1-liter and 4-liter packaged oils at the Chengdu Lubricant Plant, along with supporting installation works, were completed. Both lines were debugged normally and successfully put into production and operation, playing a key role in helping the Chengdu plant improve production plan execution, reduce routine inventory reserves, and lower labor costs and physical workload.

Production workshops in full swing during the holiday
Starting in early September, the Production Technology Department of the Chengdu Lubricant Plant and the construction contractor China Petroleum Second Construction Engineering Company relocated equipment on the G3 and G6 medium-drum packaged oil production lines and the G4 and G7 small-package filling lines in accordance with the design and construction plan. Sparks flew on the 560-square-meter steel structure operating platform in the workshop as the packaging pipeline routing and installation work was completed, laying the foundation for installing the new lines. After the new equipment arrived, the packaging unit actively cooperated with the manufacturer's technicians in assembling it - from coding machines weighing twenty or thirty kilograms to palletizers weighing four or five tonnes, packaging staff used their own hands to position each item and level each machine. To ensure the two "new trunk lines" were commissioned smoothly, packaging unit managers and engineers voluntarily gave up their holidays and devoted themselves to installing and debugging the "new trunk lines." During main control transmission debugging, electronic control misjudgments repeatedly triggered system alarms and automatic line stoppages; unit engineers and commissioning staff tested each node and identified the misjudging sensor positions. Because filling metering must be calibrated according to different drum types, unit chief operators and the manufacturer's technicians made coarse, fine and then micro adjustments to the cylinder extraction system, precisely calibrating each filling nozzle.
Efficiency-boosting control unit successfully commissioned
While the G9 and G10 filling lines were being debugged and running normally, the packaging unit also had to replace impurities in eight process pipelines, four surge tanks and four oil filters on the pipeline transport control platform. They dismantled the new pipelines - more than ten meters long with three or four bends - section by section for manual cleaning and leak-point inspection, which both improved pipeline cleaning efficiency and saved more than 800 liters of overhead line oil. During normal trial production after equipment debugging, new problems emerged on the production line: carton flap positions affected machine case opening and sealing, insufficient cooling of plastic drums caused drum jamming, and the small inner diameter of the case-supporting frame caused drum squeezing. Plant leaders and unit managers stayed close to the site, contacting raw material suppliers and equipment technicians to test and resolve issues on the spot, so that the entire production line fully matched the standards for drums, cartons, caps and case-supporting inner diameters, and production operation was successfully achieved.
Working together to safeguard production, boost shipments and enhance service
On October 5, when Packaging Unit Shift 2 was on duty, it received a plan notice from the plant requiring urgent production and filling of two batches of Kunlun Scorpio F5000/SE40 motorcycle oil and Kunlun Tianwei GL-5 85W/140 medium-drum packaged oil. After the instruction was issued, in order to meet urgent customer needs without delaying production, the packaging unit quickly assembled both production teams and arranged for the already-commissioned G9 1-liter fully automatic filling line and the G2 motorcycle oil filling line to run in tandem. Using less than half the manpower of a semi-automatic line while exceeding its output by nearly double, the G9 "new trunk line" scored on its first outing, ensuring the Chengdu plant's packaged oil production during the National Day holiday and delivering ordered products accurately to customers, winning a strong reputation.
