Lubricant Company's Annual R&D Project Acceptance Review Meeting Held in Lanzhou

In order to accelerate the transformation of scientific research results and guarantee the research quality and steady progress of each project, from March 9 to 13 the Lubricant Company's 2009 annual R&D project acceptance review meeting was held in Lanzhou. This review meeting was hosted by the company's Production Technology Department and co-organised by the Lanzhou R&D Center. Company Deputy Chief Engineer Yang Junjie chaired the meeting; Sun Shuhao, director of the Production Technology Department, and technical personnel from the company's Production Technology Department, the Lanzhou R&D Center, the Dalian R&D Center and the Karamay Research Institute attended the meeting. The meeting also invited 13 experts in the lubricant field from inside and outside the company to take part.

This acceptance review meeting assessed 39 R&D projects of Lubricant Company at company level and above for 2009 from the "two institutes and one academy." The expert review panel listened earnestly to the project reports of each presenter and, comparing them with the project proposal reports and related materials, focused on reviewing each project's planning, execution, research results and the application and promotion of the results, and, through on-site question-and-answer interaction, put forward constructive revision suggestions for the projects and the writing of the reports.
The meeting also graded and scored the scientific research reports submitted by participants; after the review and deliberation of the expert panel, a total of three first prizes were produced (of which two went to winners from Lanzhou R&D and one to a winner from Dalian R&D) and five second prizes (of which four went to winners from Lanzhou R&D and one to a winner from Dalian R&D), and the winning presenters were commended and rewarded.
After the meeting, Company Deputy Chief Engineer Yang Junjie delivered a speech entitled "Consolidate the Foundation and Strengthen the Base, Optimise and Improve, and Promote the Sound and Rapid Development of Scientific and Technological Talent." He pointed out that the company will further step up the management of scientific research projects and strengthen process monitoring and final review to ensure the standardisation of scientific research project management; in tackling research topics it is necessary to form a team effect in the company's scientific research, and to accelerate the construction of key laboratories and pilot test bases, strengthen work on key projects under research and speed up the overall process of industrialisation and marketisation of the company's scientific research.
