Innovating for Progress Solely for Customer Satisfaction – SAIC-GM Supplier Recognition Conference

The 2016 SAIC-GM Aftermarket Parts Supplier Summary and Recognition Conference was held in Shanghai on December 19, 2016. SAIC-GM currently has 1,417 parts suppliers, and at this recognition conference only 15 parts suppliers received SAIC-GM's 2016 "Service Satisfaction Award", among them PetroChina's lubricant company. Following its receipt of SAIC-GM's "Excellence in Service Satisfaction Award" in 2014, the lubricant company once again won SAIC-GM's annual "Service Satisfaction Award" this year.
SAIC General Motors Corporation Limited was established on June 12, 1997, with joint investment by SAIC Motor Corporation Limited and General Motors. It currently has four major production bases – Pudong Jinqiao, Yantai Dongyue, Shenyang Beisheng and a Wuhan branch – with eight complete vehicle plants and four powertrain plants in total; it has the three brands Buick, Chevrolet and Cadillac and a product lineup of more than 20 series, covering markets from high-end luxury cars to economy sedans as well as segments such as MPVs, SUVs, hybrids and electric vehicles. Its vehicle sales have remained above 1.75 million units for three consecutive years, reaching 1.8 million in 2016, and it has become one of the important leading enterprises in China's auto industry.
PetroChina's lubricant company began supplying SAIC-GM with SM 5W-30 aftermarket service oil in September 2008. In December 2011 it began supplying SAIC-GM with DEXOS-1 5W-30 aftermarket service oil, and in May 2012 it began supplying SAIC-GM with DEXOS-1 5W-30 factory-fill oil. For many years, the lubricant company has always taken meeting SAIC-GM's needs as its duty and satisfying SAIC-GM as its service purpose, continuously deepening the customer relationship, with the volume of oil supplied remaining above 10,000 tonnes for many consecutive years. Thanks to coordination among all departments of the lubricant company, SAIC-GM's orders are now handled on an "ordered in the morning, delivered by evening" basis. This year, through product upgrading, both the factory-fill oil and the service oil of Kunlun gasoline engine oils have been upgraded to SN grade.
May the cooperation between the lubricant company and SAIC-GM, building on the strategic partnership between PetroChina and SAIC Motor, advance still further and together win in China's automotive aftermarket.
