Wang Hongbin: A Pioneer in Technological Breakthroughs

Wang Hongbin is currently deputy director of the Technical Service Center. He has long worked on the front line of scientific research, leading the Technical Service Department of the Dalian R&D Center in the development and technical service of the Lubricant Company's VIC/OEM business, oil development within the CNPC system, and the promotion and application of new specialty products from the Dalian R&D Center, carrying out research breakthroughs to help the company open up and hold markets.
In 2014, the department where Wang Hongbin works undertook 24 VIC/OEM technical service projects for the company. He arranged the department's technical staff reasonably and completed all technical service plans and ad hoc technical service plans to guaranteed quality and quantity, reaching a 100 percent completion rate and powerfully supporting lubricant sales.
In VIC/OEM development, he successively held technical exchanges with Shandong Lingong, Lonking and XCMG, always paying attention to customers' lubrication needs and putting forward proposals for product development and improvement on the Lubricant Company's side, ensuring that Kunlun products are used in the construction machinery industry. Working with the company and the sales company to develop oils for the metallurgical industry, he held technical exchanges many times with Tianjin Pipe, TISCO, Shougang and Baosteel, proposing the company's latest product solutions and enterprise lubrication solutions and ensuring the entry and use of the company's products in the metallurgical industry.
In oil development within the CNPC system, he actively cooperated with the system working group of the company's Industrial Oil Sales Department in developing and maintaining oil use by system enterprises. Together with Northeast Sales he made many visits to Jilin Petrochemical to research and discuss equipment and lubrication, powerfully promoting the entry and use of Kunlun products at Jilin Petrochemical and optimizing its equipment lubrication plan, reducing equipment lubrication costs by about 38 percent over the year; with the Daqing No. 2 Plant he conducted repeated research and exchanges on bringing Daqing Oilfield's oil use over to Kunlun, laying the technical foundation for Kunlun's access; and he held many technical exchanges and Kunlun product presentations with Guangxi Petrochemical, Sichuan Petrochemical, Daqing Petrochemical, Liaoyang Petrochemical and China Offshore Oil, markedly raising the proportion of Kunlun products used. He also compiled an overall lubrication plan for oil use in the refining and chemical system for the company, providing technical support for sales branches to open up the in-system oil market.
In promoting and applying new specialty products, he communicated with customers many times and vigorously publicized the company's new specialty products, so that the company's HVN series products could be promoted and used on a large scale in the metallurgical industry and by in-system users. Taking advantage of the group company's drive to raise the proportion of Kunlun products used by in-system enterprises, he accelerated the use of new specialty products such as the KHT series refrigeration oils, DREW refrigeration oils and KCRS series screw compressor oils at Daqing, Jilin Petrochemical and other enterprises, which both verified product performance and met customers' equipment lubrication needs. He provided timely, tailor-made and appropriate lubrication products and technical exchanges according to customer needs, giving technical support to the Kunlun brand and to the company's profitability.
