Naval Logistics Technology and Equipment Research Institute and Lubricant Company Sign Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement

On September 3, 2009, PetroChina Kunlun Lubricant Company and the Naval Logistics Technology and Equipment Research Institute negotiated and formulated the Framework Agreement on Cooperation between the Naval Logistics Technology and Equipment Research Institute and PetroChina Lubricant Company and the Cooperation Agreement on the Development of Long-Life Anti-Wear Turbine Oil for Naval Vessels, established the Dalian Lubricant Research and Development Center - Naval Logistics Technology and Equipment Research Institute Joint Oil Laboratory, and drew up the charter of the joint oil laboratory. This marked the start of comprehensive cooperation between the two sides in lubricant research, development and supply.
The Naval Logistics Technology and Equipment Research Institute is a research unit directly under the Naval Logistics Department. It undertakes scientific research and product application tasks related to naval equipment and has won a series of honors including National Science and Technology Progress Awards, National Invention Awards and Military Science and Technology Progress Awards, demonstrating strong research capabilities.
In May this year, after conducting research on the scientific outlook on development at the Kunlun Lubricant Dalian R&D Center, the Naval Logistics Technology and Equipment Research Institute expressed the hope of maintaining a long-term cooperative relationship with Kunlun Lubricant Company and, taking the establishment of the joint oil laboratory as an opportunity, of carrying out product development for a new generation of turbine oil. After three months of intensive preparation and repeated demonstration, the two sides finally formed the cooperation framework agreement and the research project development agreement.
PetroChina Kunlun Lubricant Company said it will actively shoulder its corporate social responsibility and do everything possible to carry out the relevant work and meet the Navy's needs.
