Kunlun Marine Lubricants Accelerate Overseas Market Expansion

Since the second half of 2009, when PetroChina Lubricant Company began cooperating with Russia's LUKoil and Greece's AVIN Oil, Kunlun Lubricant has been steadily raising its profile in the international market. By relying on overseas suppliers, Kunlun Lubricant Company has successfully established strong brand recognition and trust. This year, Kunlun Lubricant Company has further intensified its international market development efforts, using Singapore and Malaysia as its main overseas oil supply bases to build and improve a global supply network and compete on the same stage as international brands. Domestic shipping companies have begun trying overseas supply of Kunlun marine lubricants. In August, when a foreign oil company could only supply a limited volume (no more than 30 drums) at the port of Zarate in Argentina, 75 drums of "Kunlun" marine lubricant were successfully supplied to COSCO Bulk Carrier Co., Ltd.'s vessel "Baoshan Hai," fully demonstrating PetroChina's overseas supply and service strength and earning user praise and trust. In September, 60 tonnes of "Kunlun" marine lubricant were successfully supplied to COSCO Container Lines' vessel "Chuanhe" in Long Beach, USA, further testing the overseas supply and service capability of "Kunlun" marine lubricants and fully demonstrating the competitiveness of the "Kunlun" brand against international brands overseas. As of the end of October 2010, overseas supply of "Kunlun" lubricants had exceeded 1,000 tonnes, further driving the share of Kunlun lubricants in the domestic ocean-going vessel oil market, while major international shipping companies such as MSC, Hapag-Lloyd and NYK Line have also been in contact with the company, hoping to discuss further cooperation intentions with Kunlun Lubricant.
