Qinghai Oilfield Replaces Imported Oils Entirely with Kunlun Lubricants

Recently, Luo Guiru, vice general manager of PetroChina Lubricant Company, led a nine-person delegation to Qinghai Oilfield to attend a work summary and exchange meeting with the oilfield, and also attended the signing ceremony for the full replacement of imported oils by Kunlun Lubricants.
At the meeting, the Northwest Lubricant Sales Branch reported to the representatives on Kunlun Lubricant's development and achievements at home and abroad and on its cooperation with Qinghai Oilfield, and put forward new ideas for continuing to do a good job of serving the oilfield. Zhou Yabin, vice president of the Lanzhou R&D Institute, introduced the necessity and importance of oil changes based on oil condition analysis from the perspective of analysis and testing, and explained advanced concepts of lubricant use to the representatives.
Mr. Luo pointed out that in recent years Kunlun Lubricant's work at Qinghai Oilfield has been progressively upgraded from commercial cooperation toward technical service cooperation, and that with the joint efforts of both sides the concept of changing oil according to oil condition has been understood and accepted by the oilfield company. Since Lubricant Company began cooperating with Qinghai Oilfield, Kunlun Lubricant has achieved a breakthrough in oilfield oil use, reaching a market share of 90 percent, and the work of replacing imported oils has produced notable results.
Mr. Sun of the oilfield branch said he hoped both sides would seize the opportunity to reach new highs, and that in replacing imported oils they should identify representative projects and extend them gradually after the trials meet standards, making Qinghai Oilfield a model project for Kunlun Lubricant's oil use within the CNPC system.
The meeting held lively discussions around how to serve the oilfield well and solidly, further raise the level of cooperation and take cooperation to a new height, and many constructive opinions and suggestions were formed. After the meeting, Lubricant Company and the Qinghai Oilfield branch signed an equipment lubrication cooperation agreement.
