Kunlun Lubricant Officially Releases the Overall Lubrication Solution for the Wind, Solar, Storage and Hydrogen Industry

On October 20, Kunlun Lubricant attended the 2025 Beijing International Wind Energy Conference and Exhibition (CWP2025), a global wind power event, and held a launch event for the Overall Lubrication Solution for the Wind, Solar, Storage and Hydrogen Industry (the Solution). Kunlun Lubricant also signed strategic cooperation agreements with two leading enterprises in the new energy field, Liaoning Liaoneng Wind Power Generation Co., Ltd. (Liaoneng Wind Power) and Mingyang Smart Energy Group Co., Ltd. (Mingyang Smart Energy). Relevant leaders attended the launch event, and numerous industry experts and media witnessed it.

Accelerating Energy Transition, Providing Stronger Lubrication Power for Wind, Solar, Storage and Hydrogen
At present, China's energy structure is accelerating its transition toward clean and low-carbon development, and the new energy sector is showing rapid growth. As of the first half of 2025, China's cumulative installed wind power and photovoltaic capacity each accounted for nearly 50 percent of the global total, offshore wind power grew by more than 20 percent year on year, cumulative installed energy storage capacity reached 137.9 GW, accounting for 37.1 percent of the global market, and hydrogen energy applications are also being implemented continuously. China's development speed in the new energy field is unprecedented, driving growth in lubrication demand for new energy equipment while also setting higher requirements.
Taking the wind power industry as an example, the trend toward larger and offshore wind turbines is pronounced, and the equipment operating environment is more complex, imposing extreme requirements on the reliability of core components such as the main gearbox, main shaft bearings and yaw and pitch systems. In addition, market and customer needs are also changing: in addition to achieving cost reduction and efficiency improvement under current supply and demand conditions, customers have greater demand for full-chain service management and personalized customized services.
In recent years, Kunlun Lubricant has deepened its research, development and application of lubrication technology, kept pace with the national energy strategy, actively positioned itself in the new energy lubrication field and, centring on the dual carbon goals, fully given play to the corporate responsibility of the national team in the lubrication field, providing key support for the stable operation, efficiency improvement and service life extension of new energy equipment such as wind power, photovoltaics, energy storage and hydrogen energy.

The solution released this time focuses on three aspects - oil optimization, on-site services and management improvement - and customizes overall lubrication solutions covering the entire equipment lifecycle according to the different working conditions of wind, solar, storage and hydrogen equipment, driving deep transformation through service value-added and effectively meeting customers' core lubrication needs of cost reduction, efficiency improvement and safety assurance.
With the philosophy of technology first and service at the door, Kunlun Lubricant, in accordance with the overall lubrication solution process, conducts customer visits and equipment surveys, formulates targeted lubrication plans, oil change plans and cleaning plans, provides oil monitoring and analysis, endoscope inspection, lubrication assessment and on-site services, and develops lubrication management specifications. Fully leveraging the collaborative mechanism of production, research, sales and use, it has raised service coverage from 75 percent to 99 percent and, on the basis of product upgrades and optimization and quality improvement, helps customers achieve an all-round reduction in costs including management, procurement, maintenance and grease consumption.

Kunlun Lubricant also signed strategic cooperation agreements with two leading enterprises in the new energy field, Liaoneng Wind Power and Mingyang Smart Energy, jointly opening a new chapter in new energy lubrication cooperation and setting a new benchmark for lubrication applications in China's new energy field.
Liaoneng Wind Power has been deeply engaged in the wind power field for many years and is a leading wind power enterprise in Liaoning. It has deep technical accumulation and rich practical experience in the planning and construction of large wind farms and in equipment operation and maintenance management, and its wind farms across the region have made important contributions to regional energy transition.
At the end of 2020, Kunlun Lubricant began cooperation with Liaoneng Wind Power. Since 2021, Kunlun Lubricant has replaced the lubricants in the full series of 1.5 MW units and in 4 to 6.25 MW wind turbines at several wind farms of Liaoneng Wind Power with Kunlun lubricant products, and has carried out comprehensive follow-up monitoring and on-site services, demonstrating outstanding equipment protection performance and professional technical support services. In subsequent cooperation, the two sides will focus on core directions such as extending the lubrication service life of wind power equipment and optimizing operation and maintenance costs, and will jointly build an industry benchmark for wind power equipment lubrication management.
Mingyang Smart Energy is a leading domestic smart energy enterprise with important global influence, focusing on the research, development and manufacturing of high-end new energy equipment, with business covering the development and operation of clean energy such as wind, solar, storage and hydrogen. Its wind power market share ranks among the top three globally, and in 2024 its offshore wind power market share and newly added installed capacity both ranked first nationwide.
Since 2023, Kunlun Lubricant and Mingyang Smart Energy have conducted technical exchanges and qualification procedures. In 2024, Kunlun FD3000N+ wind power gear oil was used in the initial fill of 33 Mingyang Smart Energy 5 to 6.25 MW units. At the same time, Kunlun Lubricant formulated a comprehensive follow-up monitoring plan and technical support specifications for this batch of initial fills, maintaining close communication and cooperation with the technical and sales departments in order to obtain optimal lubrication results. In the future, the two sides will conduct in-depth cooperation around overall lubrication solutions and explore lubrication management approaches suited to the full lifecycle of wind power equipment.
