Kunlun Lubricant Cup "China Heart" 2010 Top Ten Engines Campus Tour Officially Launched

On September 16, the Kunlun Lubricant Cup "China Heart" 2010 Top Ten Engines campus tour was officially launched at Tsinghua University. The event is jointly organized by PetroChina Kunlun Lubricant Company and Auto & Sport magazine, published by the People's Daily press group, and is currently the only vehicle engine selection event in China. The first stop was held in the conference room of Tsinghua University's State Key Laboratory of Automotive Safety and Energy. Among the guest judges attending were Professor Wang Jianxin of the Department of Automotive Engineering at Tsinghua University, doctoral supervisor, deputy director of the State Key Laboratory of Automotive Safety and Energy and deputy director of the Gasoline Engine Branch of the Chinese Society for Internal Combustion Engines; Li Xiaofei, executive deputy editor-in-chief of Auto & Sport magazine; and Dr. Dong Hongyi, a Tsinghua graduate now working at Kunlun Lubricant Company. At the meeting, Professor Wang Jianxin of Tsinghua University first introduced the background and purpose of the "China Heart" Top Ten Engines selection to participants. Dr. Dong Hongyi of Kunlun Lubricant Company then gave a presentation titled "An Introduction to Lubrication Technology and the Development of Automotive Lubricant Technology." The presentation covered three areas: an introduction to lubrication technology, the development history of automotive lubricant technology (using engine oils and transmission oils as examples), and lubricant development trends that meet automotive energy-saving and emission-reduction requirements. The excellent presentation naturally won unanimous praise from the judges present and the participating students. It is understood that the event comprises five stops in total, with the next stop to be held at Tianjin University on September 17.
