Following the certification of Kunlun KPM Heavy-Duty Industrial Gear Oil and KPM/S Synthetic Heavy-Duty Industrial Gear Oil by Flender and ZF, this is another internationally authoritative technical certification from a gearbox equipment manufacturer. It marks another “professional pass” earned by Kunlun Lubrication through its continued focus on industrial lubricants, demonstrates Kunlun Lubrication’s technological innovation and R&D capabilities, and will also provide solid technical support for the domestic substitution of high-end industrial gear oil products.

In August 2022, Kunlun’s top-grade industrial gear oil for micropitting resistance, KPM, was used for the first time on the finishing line at Beiying Steel Rolling Plant of Benxi Iron and Steel. During this period, the Kunlun Lubrication Product Design Center closely tracked the oil, and regularly monitored it. As of now, it has operated safely and steadily for 10 months, laying a solid technical foundation for the future replacement of lubricants used in Bensteel’s high-end equipment.
Among mining equipment, crusher gearboxes and vertical mill bearings operate under the most demanding and critical conditions and have the highest requirements for lubricants. From March to June 2023, Kunlun Lubricant Product Design Center visited a stone plant of Jinchuan Group several times to conduct technical discussions on the lubricants used in Sandvik crusher equipment. It was learned that the two cone crushers previously in operation at the plant used a product from a well-known overseas brand. The customer reported that the return-oil temperature of this foreign lubricant tended to rise in summer, resulting in reduced equipment operating efficiency. It was replaced with Kunlun KPM Heavy-Duty Industrial Gear Oil in early June. The equipment temperature is currently normal and the equipment is running smoothly. The successful application of the Kunlun KPM product has opened up new opportunities for Kunlun lubricant products in imported crushers, particularly Sandvik crushers.
