The day's final consisted of two events, a serpentine cone-slalom timed race and a combined handling course timed race, with the shortest combined time winning. At the winter test track of the China Automotive Technology and Research Centre, the moment the starting flag fell the cars shot away, snow surged up from the ice, the roar of engines tore through the howling cold wind, and cars occasionally skidded off the track in slides on the slippery ice. In this competition, both the drivers' precise control and the engines' power output were tested to the extreme.

In the end, Wei Kexing from Chongqing prevailed over the whole field to be crowned the 2018 Kunlun King. Speaking of the race, Wei Kexing said with feeling: "Several times in the corners I felt I was about to lose control, but the smooth running of the engine meant all my inputs were carried out precisely.
