On June 11, 2015, the press conference for the 'Kunlun Lubricant Cup' 2015 Formula Student China (FSC), initiated and hosted by the Society of Automotive Engineers of China (SAE-China), title-sponsored by PetroChina Lubricant Company and organized by the Xiangyang Municipal People's Government, was held at the Beijing Auto Museum. About 200 people attended, including representatives of mainstream national media, universities and sponsoring enterprises. As a representative of a Chinese national brand, Kunlun Lubricant has supported the FSC competition for five consecutive years, helping to build a world-class platform for cultivating automotive elites and training elite talent for China's automotive industry.

Since FSC was founded in 2010, the competition's influence has grown year by year. More than 100 teams registered for this year's event, and the organizing committee approved 102 teams, including 30 electric Formula teams. Zhang Jinhua, secretary-general of the Society of Automotive Engineers of China, spoke highly of the first five editions and noted that this is the sixth year of FSC. Testing by five editions has shown the competition to be a great success, and it has become a landmark platform for cooperation among government, industry, academia, research and users in the automotive industry. He proposed that everyone give warm applause to thank Kunlun Lubricant for its long-standing support of the competition, its care for university students and its attention to talent cultivation.

As the enterprise supporting the competition throughout, the relevant leader of PetroChina Lubricant Company gave a passionate speech at the press conference, saying that Kunlun Lubricant is honored to share in the competition's achievements as a supporter for five consecutive years. The competition has become fertile ground for talent cultivation and innovation in the university automotive industry, and students tempered by it are increasingly favored by major automotive companies. In future Kunlun Lubricant will continue to support the competition, practice the concept of public welfare and contribute to talent cultivation for China's automotive industry.

In last year's fifth competition, Hunan University beat all comers to take the overall championship in the combustion category. It received 200,000 yuan of funding from FSC sponsor PetroChina Lubricant Company; Beijing Institute of Technology took the domestic electric overall championship and also received 100,000 yuan of funding from PetroChina Lubricant Company. The teams from the two institutions will represent China together at the German Formula Student competition in July this year. At the press conference, Cao Yu, captain of Hunan University's Haima FSAE racing team, spoke on stage, thanking the competition and Kunlun Lubricant for giving them the chance to realize their childhood dream, and saying they would give their all in Germany and strive for the best result.

The awards ceremony of the finals of the 2015 second FSC host competition followed: Luan Shiqian of Xiamen University of Technology won the championship, Wang Meng of Beijing Geely University took second place, and Chi Jiayong of Chang'an University and Wu Liangwei of Zhejiang University City College tied for third. They will have the opportunity to host the 2015 SAE-China four major competition events, namely Formula Student China, the China University Electric Formula competition, the China Baja competition and the automotive styling design competition.
