Kunlun Transformer Oil Goes Abroad, 'Flying' to Egypt

On the evening of April 11, as the first 30 tons of drummed Kunlun Petro45X transformer oil arrived at the warehouse of Shanghai Pudong Zhuqiao Airport, it marked that Kunlun transformer oil was about to go abroad and 'fly' to Egypt.
On April 7, the Northwest Branch received the first order for 30 tons of Petro45X transformer oil for export to Egypt from a direct supply user, Changzhou Xidian Transformer Co., Ltd. of China XD Group; the whole order was for the Cairo substation project of the Egyptian military government contracted by GE Digital Energy. In the past, transformer oil exports were mostly procured by the transformer plant itself, packed and exported as an accessory together with the transformer, with all commodity inspection and customs declaration formalities handled by the transformer plant's foreign trade office or a freight forwarder. This time, however, the Egypt project's transformer oil export was different: Changzhou Xidian Transformer proposed that, in the absence of a ready-made packaging and reinforcement solution, the Lubricant Company should pack the drummed transformer oil on wooden pallets to meet air freight requirements and deliver it to the Shanghai Pudong airport warehouse, with product delivery to be completed before April 12, awaiting air shipment to Egypt.
Facing tight time, heavy tasks and the company's first transformer oil export business, the Northwest Branch immediately held an emergency meeting upon receiving the order to study and deploy the export work, and set out three requirements: first, this project is a new achievement in deepening cooperation with XD Group, is of great significance for implementing the company's strategy of taking transformer oil abroad, and involves production adjustment and organization at the East China Plant, so it needed to be reported immediately to the relevant company departments for support and help; second, the relevant head of the Northwest Branch should go immediately to the East China Plant to communicate on site with Changzhou Xidian Transformer and the air freight agent and coordinate solutions to all kinds of problems; and third, the specialty oil area manager of the Shaanxi representative office should maintain contact with Changzhou Xidian Transformer's foreign trade office and XD International Engineering Company at all times to confirm the shipping marks on the export products so as to facilitate business operations.
When the information was reported back to the company, the company attached great importance to it and immediately set up an emergency leading group headed by Deputy General Manager Li Xiaodong and deputy-headed by Liu Fengyou, head of the Production and Operations Division, and made specific arrangements by video conference for the production organization and product shipment of this export batch at the East China Plant, explicitly requiring the plant to overcome difficulties and do everything possible to ensure the export products arrived on time. The establishment of this overall coordination and top-down linkage system provided a strong guarantee for the timely delivery of the exported products.
At 18:00 on April 8, staff of the Northwest Branch arrived at the East China Plant for on-site coordination with the heads of relevant departments, focusing on the specific drummed product packing plan and confirming the times for wooden pallet production, fumigation and commodity inspection.
At 8:00 a.m. on April 9, the leaders of the East China Plant convened a special meeting with relevant departments and, in accordance with company requirements, made comprehensive arrangements for the transformer oil export project to Egypt. The whole plant worked as one and, on April 10, organized production and filled the first batch of 165 units of 209L packaging required for export, produced the shipping marks as required and prepared packing tools and transport vehicles. Meanwhile, preparations related to the export project proceeded in an orderly manner.
At 9:30 on April 11, the wooden pallets, having undergone fumigation and commodity inspection, arrived on site as scheduled. As arranged at the special meeting, the East China Plant 'split into three routes': two forklifts moved products and loaded pallets; two staff sprayed color blocks and applied shipping marks; and two more teams carried out special packing and reinforcement, with operations at the site tense yet orderly.
At 18:30 on April 11, all 165 drums of Petro45X transformer oil had been packed and reinforced and began to be loaded for departure, arriving at the Pudong Zhuqiao airport warehouse at 23:30 and being delivered smoothly.
In just five days, all the company's relevant units firmly upheld the idea of 'one chessboard', strengthened communication and cooperated closely to complete the production, transport and delivery of the exported transformer oil. While the Northwest Sales Branch achieved a new breakthrough in export business, its highly efficient supply also won high praise from Changzhou Xidian Transformer Co., Ltd., writing a successful stroke in broadening the scope of cooperation between the two sides.
