Kunlun Lubricant Successfully Completes Oil Supply for COSCO's 300,000 dwt VLOC Bulk Carriers

Before the launch of the COSCO 300,000 dwt VLOC bulk carrier He Ping, which is lubricated with Kunlun Lubricant products, the oil supply work had been fully completed and the vessel formally began its Shanghai-Singapore-Brazil/Australia route. This marks that all three 300,000 dwt VLOC bulk carriers newly built for COSCO under the project won by Kunlun Lubricant have left the yard and entered service, and that Kunlun Lubricant has successfully completed the oil supply work for these three new COSCO VLOC bulk carriers, demonstrating the strength of a national brand to the world.
There are three COSCO 300,000 dwt VLOC bulk carriers, all of the world's largest bulk carrier type. Kunlun Lubricant supplies lubricating oils and greases for them, including some synthetic oils and greases used for the first time. The first vessel, He Tong, has performed well since its launch on June 18 and carried out its first replenishment of 15 tons of oil in Singapore in August this year, further confirming the quality of Kunlun oils. COSCO has fully recognized the quality and service of Kunlun oils and said it will continue to support national brands as always.
In fact, as early as 2003, COSCO designated Kunlun marine lubricant as its only domestic oil brand. In March 2009, Kunlun Lubricant successfully signed a contract with COSCO to supply lubricants for the whole ship of newly built 300,000 dwt VLOCs. Because ship machinery adopts today's most advanced international technology, only a few international oil companies can complete the supply and related service work. This cooperation with COSCO not only demonstrates Kunlun marine oil's comprehensive strength in oil supply for large bulk carriers but also proves that the gap between Kunlun Lubricant and foreign companies is steadily narrowing.
It is understood that Kunlun possesses a series of high-quality products needed for comprehensive ship lubrication, including marine cylinder oils, marine system oils and marine medium and high speed trunk piston diesel engine oils. Its DCC3008 marine system oil and DCA5070H marine cylinder oil have passed sea-trial certification tests and obtained certification from MAN and WARTSILA, making Kunlun the earliest and only domestic marine oil brand certified by the world's two major marine diesel engine manufacturers, MAN and WARTSILA, further proving that Kunlun Lubricant has reached an internationally advanced level. At present, with the three domestic marine oil advantages of the most complete and most high-end ship certifications, the most complete and widest network, and the largest number of top-quality mega customers, Kunlun marine oil has not only joined hands with Maersk but is also being used in large quantities by ocean-going users such as COSCO.
