Four New National Lubricant Standards Align with International Standards
Recently, new editions of the national standards Hydraulic Oil, Industrial Enclosed Gear Oil, Turbine Oil and Transformer Oil were successfully released and will take effect on June 1, 2012. The four new national standards released this time all adopt international standards and were compiled in line with China's national conditions, possessing an internationally advanced level. A group of domestic independent brands represented by Kunlun Lubricants, relying on strong R&D capabilities and consistently adhering to an application-first product development philosophy, are advancing Chinese transformer oil national standards toward alignment with international standards with leading technical levels, supporting the progress of China's industrial level.
It is understood that PetroChina Lubricant Company has a solid inherent foundation and heritage in the field of transformer oil R&D. Over the years, researchers at PetroChina Lubricant Company have not only provided large quantities of high-quality No. 25 and No. 45 transformer oils, but also developed and produced ultra-high-voltage transformer oil for domestic and imported 500 kV transformers, successfully replacing imported oils and changing the history of China's high-end special oils being monopolized by foreign products.
After more than half a century of development, the quality standards of the high-voltage direct current transmission transformer oil produced by PetroChina Lubricant Company have reached the advanced level of the well-known Swiss transformer manufacturer Nynas, passed the evaluation and certification of multinational transformer manufacturers such as Siemens and ABB, become the exclusive designated product for domestic ultra-high-voltage power transmission and transformation projects, and occupy more than 60% of the national market share. Particularly noteworthy is that, using naphthenic heavy oil as base oil, PetroChina Lubricant Company successfully developed the insulating oil for high-voltage direct current converter transformers, filling a gap in China's electrical insulating oil products.
Today, with its excellent electrical properties and good anti-aging performance, Kunlun transformer oil has become the preferred product of the national power industry, is known as the No. 1 domestic transformer oil brand, and has successfully entered the high-end market of power transmission and transformation. Leading technical standards not only ensure Kunlun transformer oil's position as domestically leading and internationally advanced, but also advance the process of aligning China's national lubricant standards with international standards.
