Brilliance in a Small Space - Kunlun Lubricant Launches Tianhong Manual Transmission Oil MTF-18

As one of the core components of an automobile, the transmission mainly serves to change the transmission ratio and expand the range of torque and speed variation of the drive wheels, and its working condition directly affects the vehicle's handling. Therefore, maintaining good lubrication conditions in the transmission is crucial. With the development of the auto industry and automotive technology, including the miniaturization of transmissions and longer oil drain intervals, higher requirements have been placed on transmission oil performance. Especially in the heavy truck sector, where manual transmissions predominate, transmissions that transmit high torque with multiple gears are increasingly used, and the complexity of China's long-haul road conditions increases shifting loads, the service life of heavy truck transmissions is generally short, leading to lower vehicle utilization efficiency and higher maintenance costs, a chronic problem that troubles most heavy truck drivers. Recently, the Tianhong manual transmission oil MTF-18, newly developed by Kunlun Lubricant based on Kunlun's new formulation additive products, is the right remedy for this chronic problem. Baoshan has a tropical climate, and the roads are mainly mountain highways with long, steep slopes and large drops; vehicles spend 60 percent of their daily driving time on slopes at speeds below 32 km/h and carry loads of 40 to 70 tons. Under such conditions, engines are under heavy load at all times, making this one of the harshest areas for vehicle gear oil use. Test results showed that gear tooth surfaces were clean with no spalling or scratching, gear service life was maximally extended, and no oil seal damage occurred. Drivers involved in the tests reported that after MTF-18 was installed the oil temperature rose very slowly and shifting was very easy. In the 100,000-kilometer intensified road test conducted at Dongfeng, Tianhong MTF-18 also performed outstandingly. The double extension of the manual transmission brings a double saving in economic benefits to consumers. Tests show that, compared with ordinary transmission oil, the outstanding wear resistance and high-temperature detergency of Tianhong MTF-18 increase the transmission oil drain mileage by 2 to 4 times, directly saving drivers hundreds of yuan in oil change costs. At the same time, the inspection and repair interval is extended from twice a year to once a year or once every 18 months, saving not only considerable repair costs but also spending on parts and repair labor, indirectly improving vehicle utilization efficiency.
