Kunlun Lubricant Equips the World's Largest Open-Die Forging Hydraulic Press and Forging Manipulator

As Yu Zhengsheng, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Committee, announced the start of forging, the world's largest 16,500-ton open-die forging hydraulic press and the 250-ton/630-ton-meter forging manipulator were fully put into operation on August 15 at Shanghai Heavy Machinery Plant Co., Ltd., marking that the Kunlun lubricants equipping these two giants had successfully passed acceptance.
The oils equipping these two largest machines in the world are Kunlun HM46 premium anti-wear hydraulic oil and Kunlun GH46 high-cleanliness high-pressure anti-wear hydraulic oil. Kunlun GH46 is currently Kunlun's highest-grade hydraulic oil, achieving NAS class 5 cleanliness at the factory. After rigorous testing, it passed installation in a single attempt and won praise from German experts on site. This is also the first large-scale application of Kunlun GH46 to a large forging manipulator, breaking the foreign monopoly in this field.
Shanghai Heavy Machinery Plant Co., Ltd.'s ten-thousand-ton hydraulic press project took two years from approval to commissioning. From the very beginning, Kunlun Lubricant Company followed the project's progress closely. Leaders and staff of the sales branch went all out, while sister units such as the Dalian R&D Center and the East China Lubricant Plant cooperated closely. From early technical exchanges and lubricant logistics and distribution to on-line oil monitoring after trial operation, every link was closely coordinated to ensure seamless connection. Through the efforts of many parties, the project was finally brought to a successful conclusion.
