Chengdu Lubricant Plant Holds a Safety Emergency Drill for a Sudden Oil Spill Accident

Recently, in accordance with the requirements of the HSE safety production system, the Chengdu Lubricant Plant organized a total of 58 people from all departments and production units of the plant to carry out a safety production emergency drill focused on guarding against sudden oil spill accidents.
In the half month before the safety drill began, the Chengdu Lubricant Plant repeatedly checked matters ranging from on-site surveys of tank levels at the plant's oil storage tanks, the collection of data, to the analysis and assessment of on-site hazard factors, clarifying the division of labour, implementing responsibilities and paying attention to details so that on-site coordination could be better carried out during the drill. The purpose was to familiarize each department with the rescue work process at each stage and to ensure that, when a large "oil leakage accident" occurs, effective measures can be taken for rescue and follow-up handling, maximising the improvement of employees' emergency response capability in an accident situation.

After all the plan organization and preparation work was completed, the Chengdu Lubricant Plant's safety emergency drill for a "sudden oil spill accident" formally began. After the tense and orderly drill ended, the rescue command headquarters made an on-site assessment. This emergency plan drill gave employees practical experience in dealing with the site of a sudden safety production accident, and at the same time established for all the plant's employees the safety production principle of nipping problems in the bud and being prepared for any eventuality.
