Quality Revolution: Kunlun Lubricant Becomes a Forerunner of Created in China

On March 22, Kunlun Lubricant held the “Quality at a New Height” — Kunlun Tianrun Product Upgrade Launch Conference at the Shanghai International Convention Center, using the newly upgraded “summit achievement” to advance the march from “Made in China” to “Created in China.” This move also actively responded to the call for a “quality revolution,” practiced the spirit of the Two Sessions and led the building of a manufacturing power firmly forward once again.
At present China’s manufacturing sector is large in scale, but its technological content, technical level and product added value still need improvement. Through top-level design, the Two Sessions guided the use of a quality revolution to solve the core problems facing China’s manufacturing industry and enterprises. The government work report clearly stated the need to “accelerate the building of a manufacturing power… create ‘Made in China 2025’ demonstration zones. Sharply reduce industrial production licenses and strengthen product quality supervision. Carry out quality improvement actions in all respects, advance benchmarking against advanced international levels, promote the craftsman spirit and launch a quality revolution in Made in China.”
Military-grade quality, a pillar of the great nation
Kunlun Lubricant, as a pioneer and representative of national brands, has witnessed and driven the strength and growth of Made in China all along. In 2004, Kunlun Lubricant supported Antarctic scientific expeditions in taking on the low-temperature limit, and the expedition team was named the “China Antarctic Ice Sheet Kunlun Scientific Expedition Team”; in 2006 all main transformers at the Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant adopted Kunlun transformer oil, and tailor-made turbine oil was provided for it; in 2009 Kunlun oil again became the designated oil for the 60th anniversary National Day parade; in 2010 it became the designated oil for the Shanghai World Expo; and in 2011 it supplied oil for a “pillar of the nation” — the domestically built aircraft carrier.
In 2014, the all-new “Kunlun Tianrun” series — a high-end gasoline engine oil created specially for passenger cars — was launched, building a high-end automotive lubricant for China.
In 2015, robot grease independently developed by Kunlun Lubricant began practical use, breaking the technical barriers set by foreign enterprises in robot industry grease and achieving a leap in high-end technology, taking a solid step for the localization of China’s robot grease; in 2016, it was fitted on China’s “Fuxing” high-speed rail, with the high-speed EMU gearbox lubricant developed by Kunlun Lubricant becoming China’s first independently formulated oil and providing technical support for China’s high-speed rail in international bidding; in 2017, it supplied oil for the “Changji–Guquan ±1100 kV ultra-high-voltage direct current transmission project,” currently the world’s ultra-high-voltage transmission project with the highest voltage level, largest transmission capacity, longest transmission distance and most advanced technology; at the same time, in 2017 Kunlun Lubricant also took part throughout the “Auto Safety China Tour,” held large-scale traffic safety activities such as “Kunlun Positive Energy, 100 Days Without Violations,” and carried out public welfare safety activities in more than 20 cities nationwide, cheering on the dream of China’s auto industry becoming a strong power.
