Kunlun Lubricants Achieves Its First Sale of Non-Inhibited Transformer Oil

A few days ago, Changzhou Xidian Transformer Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Changbian") sent a letter of thanks to Kunlun Lubricants, expressing its gratitude for the strong support that the 101 tonnes of Kunlun Petro45U non-inhibited transformer oil it had previously purchased had given to Changbian's production and sales work. The arrival of this letter of thanks also marked the opening of a new chapter in Kunlun Lubricants' production and sales of non-inhibited transformer oil.
On June 15, while paying a routine visit to Changbian, Kunlun Lubricants staff learned that three 220 kV transformer products from Changbian were soon to be exported to Côte d'Ivoire, that the customer side required the use of non-inhibited transformer oil, and that Changbian had originally planned to use Nynas transformer oil. As soon as they learned this information, the Kunlun Lubricants staff reported it back to the company without delay.
After learning the information, the relevant Kunlun Lubricants personnel immediately communicated with the Lanzhou R&D Center and convened a special meeting for discussion. The meeting concluded that this sale of 101 tonnes of non-inhibited transformer oil was not simply an ordinary sales transaction, but rather a "stepping stone" for Kunlun Lubricants in the non-inhibited transformer oil market. The success of this business would not only consolidate the existing Xidian transformer oil market, but would also actively advance production and sales in the countries and regions that use non-inhibited transformer oil.
Once the instructions were received, the relevant Kunlun Lubricants personnel immediately began communications with Changbian. After gaining an in-depth understanding of the scientific research, technical and economic advantages of Kunlun's products, Changbian finally agreed to use Kunlun Petro45U non-inhibited transformer oil. At the same time it raised one requirement: because the supervisory staff of the Ivorian customer would inspect the oil-filled transformer test on site on July 23, the entire batch of non-inhibited transformer oil had to arrive at the plant by July 21.
With a tight schedule and a heavy task, and with raw materials still needing to be purchased externally, on June 21 Kunlun Lubricants organized a dedicated meeting of its Production and Operations Department, Technology Development Department, Planning Department, Finance Department, Engineering Management and Procurement Department, Lanzhou R&D and the East China Plant. After listening to opinions from all sides and to reports on production readiness, the company decisively opened a "green channel" for external raw material procurement and required the units concerned to act vigorously and, while overcoming difficulties, complete the production task on time and to full quality standards. On June 30 the Production and Operations Department chaired another meeting at which, after a comprehensive review of raw material procurement and arrival as well as production preparation and product transport arrangements at the East China Plant, it issued further instructions requiring the parties involved to work on site throughout the production and supply process, each taking responsibility for coordinating and resolving production, shipment and related issues.
On July 15, representatives of Kunlun Lubricants went to the East China Plant and, together with its Production Technology Department, Operations Department, blending workshop and laboratory, formed a joint working group. Led by the deputy plant manager of Changbian, all posts cooperated closely and actively organized production and shipment, ensuring that the batch was delivered to Changbian on time, in the required quantity and to quality standards. On July 21 the 101 tonnes of Kunlun Petro45U non-inhibited transformer oil arrived at Changbian on schedule and passed testing; all data met the IEC 60296-2012 standard, the oil passed acceptance smoothly and fully satisfied the customer's requirements.
The smooth completion of this Kunlun Petro45U non-inhibited transformer oil sale marks a substantive breakthrough for Kunlun Lubricants in the production and sales of non-inhibited transformer oil. It demonstrated the strength of CNPC's Kunlun brand to overseas markets, and at the same time highlighted the persevering "craftsmanship spirit" of Kunlun people and the excellent corporate image of a lubricants company whose entire organization works in concert to serve its users.
