New Formulation, New Upgrade - Kunlun Tianhong Series Products Launched

In recent years, with the development of engine technology and rising environmental requirements, vehicles have placed much greater demands on lubricants. To meet the lubrication needs that keep rising with the development of modern commercial vehicles, Kunlun Lubricant, upholding the principle of locally tailored development and combining the operating characteristics of Chinese commercial vehicles, launched the newly formulated and upgraded Kunlun Tianhong series with independent intellectual property rights, comprising three major series: diesel engine oils, vehicle gear oils and manual transmission oils. With leading technology, this series meets the lubricant needs of long-haul, high-efficiency and heavy-duty diesel vehicles under harsh operating conditions, becoming the best lubrication choice for modern commercial vehicles. The newly formulated Tianhong diesel engine oil series was designed specifically for the characteristics of heavy or extra-heavy loads and long periods of high-speed operation typical of commercial vehicles, and in combination with China's complex road conditions, so that it can meet modern commercial diesel vehicles' requirements for diesel engine oil detergency and offers good local adaptability. The new formulation uses a unique high-temperature detergent patent technology, giving the product outstanding high-temperature detergency, effectively inhibiting high-temperature carbon deposits in engines and extending engine service life, with super-strong protection for heavy-duty truck engines that run at high temperatures for long periods. It has particularly good detergency for top ring groove carbon filling and top land heavy carbon deposits, which are required by modern large diesel engines with heavy loads and high piston temperatures. It delivers especially outstanding performance in high-temperature zones, particularly in controlling heavy carbon deposits on the top ring land! In addition, the newly formulated Kunlun Tianhong diesel engine oil series adds three new grades, CH-4, CI-4 and CI-4+, on top of the original CF-4 and CD, to meet the needs of all types of commercial diesel vehicles. The newly formulated Tianhong vehicle gear oil includes GL-5 and GL-5+ grades. This series adds additives with independent intellectual property rights, which not only raise the product's viscosity index but also greatly improve extreme pressure anti-wear performance, anti-corrosion performance and thermal oxidation stability, ensuring the proper operation of vehicle drivetrains under heavy and extra-heavy load conditions and providing heavy trucks with super-strong, sustained surging power. Because of its excellent application performance, Kunlun's new additive formulation technology has obtained 7 national patents and a 2009 second prize of the National Technology Invention Award, the only National Technology Invention Award in China's lubricant industry so far. The newly formulated Tianhong MTF-18 manual transmission oil uses a unique additive formulation with completely independent intellectual property rights. On the basis of conventional gear oil performance, it offers better thermal oxidation stability, better anti-corrosion performance, better synchronizer durability and pitting resistance, and better compatibility with sealing materials. The application of the new additive formulation in MTF-18 not only protects bearings and synchronizers in the transmission gear mechanism from corrosion or rusting and effectively prevents the formation of sludge, varnish and carbon deposits, but also effectively extends the oil drain interval, achieving a double extension of manual transmission service life and oil drain interval. The newly formulated Tianhong MTF-18 performed outstandingly in a 100,000-kilometer intensified road test conducted at Dongfeng. The newly formulated Kunlun Tianhong series products were developed on the basis of Kunlun Lubricant's deep insight into market demand. This series has not only passed rigorous bench tests but also performed outstandingly in road tests at Dongfeng, FAW and Fast. The successful development of the newly formulated Kunlun Tianhong series is an important manifestation of Kunlun Lubricant's practice of its concept of care and will help Kunlun consolidate and expand its market territory.
