Kunlun Energy-Saving Gasoline Engine Oil Passes GM Service Oil Product Certification Audit

After a two-day on-site audit, experts from Shanghai General Motors concluded that the production process of Kunlun Lubricant's East China Lubricant Plant meets the requirements of General Motors service oil product certification and agreed to admit Kunlun GF-4/SM 5W-30.
In November last year, the East China Lubricant Plant of Kunlun Lubricant completed the first industrial trial production of GF-4/SM 5W-30 energy-saving gasoline engine oil, with product quality qualified on the first pass. This oil was carefully prepared by the Lubricant Company for entry onto Shanghai General Motors' list of parts suppliers. It not only meets the requirements of the API SM grade and the ILSAC GF-4 standard, but also passed bench tests by GM North America to meet the GM 6094M standard.
In June and August this year, General Motors organized two more production site audits. During the audits, experts tracked and monitored the entire production of GF-4/SM 5W-30 oil in 704 cans on site, and strictly audited every process against the control plan and PFMEA in the PPAP documents, covering every detail from incoming inspection of raw materials, base oil transfer, additive dosing, pulse blending, analysis and testing, packaging to shipping.
Following the audit, Shanghai General Motors concluded that the production process of Kunlun Lubricant's East China Lubricant Plant meets product certification requirements and signed an admission opinion on the PSW (Part Submission Warrant). This marks that Kunlun Lubricant has formally become a parts production supplier to Shanghai General Motors.
