Northeast Lubricant Sales Branch selects "March 8 Red Banner Pacesetters"
On the eve of International Women's Day, the labor union of the Northeast Lubricant Sales Branch organized a "March 8 Red Banner Pacesetter" selection activity, selecting and commending women employees who have worked in various positions in the branch over the past few years and made outstanding contributions to the branch's development and progress. The selection targets were women employees of the branch who are dedicated and devoted to their posts, work diligently and achieve outstanding results. After a vote by all employees, five candidates stood out from all 55 women candidates in the branch and won the honorary title of "March 8 Red Banner Pacesetter" of the Northeast Lubricant Sales Branch for 2009.
In the work of the Northeast Lubricant Sales Branch's labor union, caring for women's health, safeguarding the rights that women employees should enjoy and providing women employees with a good working environment are the basic principles of the branch union's work concerning women workers. To this end, the branch union regularly organizes physical examinations for women employees of the branch every year, holds a "March 8" reunion meal, takes part in outdoor physical exercise beneficial to body and mind, and organizes healthy and worthwhile cultural and sports activities. On the eve of International Women's Day this year, the branch union also purchased cleaning and washing products and distributed them to women employees, and engaged experts to explain how to use them. In addition, men who have long been posted away from the branch and separated from their spouses also enjoyed this courtesy extended to women employees.
All the women employees of the Northeast Lubricant Sales Branch fully felt the warmth of the branch as a big family and the care of the organization, and creating new achievements and a new life will also be the common goal they pledge themselves to.

On March 6, the Northwest Lubricant Sales Branch held an employee meeting in the large conference room on the 16th floor to celebrate International Working Women's Day. At the meeting, the labor union's women workers' committee member briefly reviewed the branch's work concerning women workers in 2008. Comrade Yang Junqing, chairman of the labor union, read out "A Letter to the Company's Women Employees" and made specific arrangements for women worker work in 2009. The meeting commended six outstanding women workers including Ding Guiling, and branch leaders presented certificates of honour to the outstanding women workers. Finally, Comrade Yang Chen, secretary of the Party committee, made a concluding speech.

Lanzhou Plant commends "Civilised Families and Outstanding Women Workers"
The Lanzhou Lubricant Plant held a meeting on March 6 to celebrate International Working Women's Day, attended by more than 90 people including staff of the plant's administrative departments and women employees of the whole plant. The meeting summarised the labor union's work concerning women workers over the past year and commended the 2008 "Civilised Families and Outstanding Women Workers" of the Lanzhou Lubricant Plant.

Daqing No. 2 Lubricant Plant holds a forum for women workers
On March 6, on the eve of International Women's Day, the Party committee of the Daqing No. 2 Lubricant Plant organized a forum for women workers in a distinctive format. Those attending the forum included the leaders in charge of each workshop and department, management personnel, technical personnel, team leaders and representatives of "March 8 Red Banner Pacesetters."

Before the meeting began, Plant Director Ni Baozhu presented flowers to each woman worker of the No. 2 Plant attending the meeting at the door of the conference room. Deputy Plant Director Zhou Yuxue gave a report entitled "Mixing the Rich Colours of Enthusiasm and Wisdom to Paint a Splendid and Beautiful Life." Advanced collectives and individuals that had won the honorary titles of "March 8 Red Banner Collective" and "March 8 Red Banner Pacesetter" introduced their experience at the meeting. Those attending talked about their own feelings and experiences around the role women workers have played over the past few years in the No. 2 Plant's production and operations, corporate culture building and management, and put forward ideas and suggestions for the plant's work in 2009. Before the meeting ended, Plant Director Ni Baozhu extended holiday greetings and best wishes to all the women present and encouraged the women employees to continue working steadily and advance with the times in the new year.
After the meeting ended, the plant leaders went to the production posts to visit the women workers who were holding fast to their positions and presented them with flowers and holiday congratulations. The plant leaders said that in 2009 the No. 2 Plant's work concerning women workers would focus on promoting women employees' success in their posts and their contributions through dedication to work, and, with distinctive activities as the vehicle, would further promote the improvement of women workers' technical and cultural qualities. The women employees said they were grateful for the leaders' care for women employees, and that with the leaders' affirmation and recognition they would keep working hard as always and make more and greater contributions to the development of Lubricant Company.
Liaohe Lubricant Plant organizes fun games for women workers
On the morning of March 6, the Liaohe Lubricant Plant held fun games for women employees to celebrate International Women's Day in front of the plant's administrative office building. The activities included five events such as the three-legged race for two, slow bicycle riding, the 40-meter skipping race and tug-of-war, and more than 80 women employees from 11 units of the plant took part.

During the activities the women employees were full of energy and strove to be first, with wonderful scenes unfolding one after another, fully displaying their youthful style and positive, enterprising spirit. The event site was filled with laughter and lively activity, brimming everywhere with a festive atmosphere of joy.
This distinctive fun activity enriched and enlivened the spare-time cultural life of the many women employees and delighted both body and mind. After the competition everyone said that this kind of activity was both interesting and meaningful: through working together their cohesion was strengthened, and communication and exchange between them became smoother and more pleasant. On the special holiday of International Women's Day, the activity embodied the leaders' care for women employees and further created a harmonious, healthy working and living environment in the plant.
