On January 12, 2024, the kick-off meeting of the Group Company's major basic and forward-looking science and technology special project Fundamental Research on the Design, Synthesis and Application of High-End Lubricating Materials, undertaken by the Lubricant Company, was successfully held in Urumqi.
The goal of the major science and technology special project Fundamental Research on the Design, Synthesis and Application of High-End Lubricating Materials is to closely center on national strategic needs, gather the advantageous forces of the industry to tackle problems collectively, and overcome the bottleneck technologies in the lubrication field one by one. The special project is led by the Lubricant Company and the Petrochemical Research Institute, and jointly tackled by units including Liaohe Petrochemical, Karamay Petrochemical, Beijing Project Management Company and China Huanqiu Contracting and Engineering Corporation. At the kick-off meeting, the project team gave a detailed report on the overall situation of the major special project, the research goals, the research content, the implementation technical route, the project division of labor, the schedule and the expected results.
The meeting pointed out that PetroChina is a world-class super-large enterprise with uniquely favorable base oil resources and decades of accumulated lubricating oil R&D experience. Through the major science and technology special project on high-end lubricating materials, the project team should systematically build a solid theoretical foundation and shoulder the responsibility of supporting the present and leading the future.
