Kunlun Lubricant Wins the Bid for a DJI Drone Oil Project!

Recently, leveraging its collaborative innovation advantage across production, marketing, research and application, Kunlun Lubricant won the bid for a DJI innovation drone power generation equipment oil project for the first time, breaking the long-term monopoly of foreign brands in the low-altitude economy and filling a gap in localization and substitution of a key link; Kunlun Lubricant has also become the first domestic brand to provide lubrication support for DJI drones.
The low-altitude economy refers to a comprehensive economic form that uses unmanned or manned aircraft to carry people and goods, improving the efficiency of socioeconomic operations and radiating and driving the integrated development of related fields. In 2024, the low-altitude economy was written into the Government Work Report of the National Two Sessions for the first time as a strategic emerging industry, gaining broader development space and demonstrating strong international competitiveness during the 14th Five-Year Plan. As the leader of this industry and a top global drone enterprise, DJI Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. (DJI) holds 70 percent of the global market share for consumer drones and more than 30 percent for enterprise drones. However, as drone application scenarios are complex and demanding, they impose extremely stringent requirements on the high- and low-temperature stability, long-lasting oxidation resistance and material compatibility of drone power generation equipment lubricants, and this dedicated lubricating materials link for such equipment has long been monopolized by international giants.
To change the situation in which key links of the industrial chain are controlled by others, Kunlun Lubricant, in line with customer needs, completed two precise optimizations and upgrades of the product formulation and carried out more than a thousand hours of actual testing in harsh environments. Test results showed that Kunlun Lubricant's products fully match or even surpass comparable top foreign products in the above key technical indicators, winning DJI's recognition with outstanding performance and stability. Subsequently, Kunlun Lubricant will help DJI integrate the oils supplied by its upstream and downstream suppliers, improve the related after-sales oil system and, with overall lubrication solutions, help accelerate the large-scale development of China's low-altitude economy industry.
