Kunlun Lubricants Becomes an Eagle, Working with One Heart and Spreading Its Wings to Fly – The 18th Lubricants Exhibition Concludes Successfully

On September 23, 2017, the three-day 18th China International Lubricants and Application Technology Exhibition successfully concluded at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing. At this exhibition, the Kunlun Lubricants Additives Business Unit and the Greases and Fluids Business Unit under PetroChina's lubricant company exhibited together, gathering many industry figures to jointly envision the path of development and discuss cooperation opportunities.
As one of the organizers of the exhibition, the two Kunlun Lubricants business units brought a full series of high-end, precision and cutting-edge products for the lubricant products industry, including the latest single additives, lubricant additive packages for passenger and commercial vehicles, marine oil additive packages and special greases for robots, high-speed rail, construction machinery, automobiles and metallurgy – more than 80 products in total. The outstanding quality of the products attracted great interest from a large number of visitors, and the professional business service capability and technical R&D standards demonstrated at the booth highlighted the corporate image of Kunlun Lubricants as "a big brand with big responsibility".
According to Zhai Yuekui, Deputy General Manager of the Kunlun Lubricants Additives Business Unit, PetroChina's lubricant additive R&D has a history of more than 50 years of development, and through the joint efforts of several generations it has formed its own distinctive R&D fields. 2017 is the first year of the Additives Business Unit of PetroChina's lubricant company; the business unit coordinates and directs the company's additives R&D, production and sales in a unified way, devotes itself to raising the overall level of domestic lubricant additives and, relying on the two major R&D centers in Lanzhou and Dalian and the two major additives production plants in Lanzhou and Taicang, contributes to "Created in China".
The lubricant additives exhibited this time were of many kinds, reflecting the overall level of independently developed products in China's additives industry. T109 salicylate detergent, T803 pour point depressant and T161 high-molecular-weight ashless dispersant all represent the highest domestic levels. The gear oil additive packages and marine oil additive packages, in terms of both economy and technology, reached advanced foreign levels. Various internal combustion engine oil additive packages and industrial oil additive packages are also the latest research results of the two R&D centers in Lanzhou and Dalian and aroused wide interest among participants.
In addition, Feng Legang, head of the Kunlun greases and fluids business unit, introduced that the RV reducer grease independently developed by the greases and fluids business unit has been successfully applied in a one-year application test on the SR210D model (maximum load 210 kg) industrial robot of the domestic leading enterprise Shenyang Siasun Robot & Automation Co. The DG-2 product was successfully tested on the harmonic drive of a well-known domestic brand's model 32, fully demonstrating that it can meet lifelong lubrication needs. The success of these two products broke the technical barriers set up by foreign-funded enterprises and achieved a major breakthrough in high-end domestic grease technology. Kunlun's wide-temperature-range wire rope protective grease has been successfully applied on the "Xuelong" polar research vessel, conquering the low-temperature ice dome at minus 50 degrees. It achieved a major breakthrough in high-end domestic grease technology and provides the best lubrication guarantee for the national scientific expedition cause. Kunlun is willing to carry out technical exchange and cooperation in various forms with related industries at home and abroad, establish mutually beneficial and long-term stable strategic partnerships, jointly promote the development of China's lubricant industry, advance "Created in China" and support the Chinese Dream.
This was the first joint appearance of the additives and greases and fluids business units, with total visitor traffic exceeding 10,000. The establishment of the two business units marks Kunlun Lubricants' specialized operation and its strategy of deepening its cultivation of market segments; it is an intrinsic requirement of PetroChina's lubricant company's grand "3369" blueprint and an important measure in implementing "Made in China 2025", and it also marks Kunlun Lubricants' additives and greases and fluids moving comprehensively into the market and sounding the charge for competing in the global market.
