น้ำมันเครื่องมอเตอร์ไซค์ Beijing, watched by all; a competition that set the blood racing! The Beijing qualifying round of the Kunlun Lubricants King of Cars Contest has finally come to an end! A spectacular display of stunt driving showcased dazzling skills. After passionate contests and split-second duels, the 120 contestants from all over the country finally settled their scores and the top 15 emerged!
Five events – the humpback bridge, slippery road, moose test, curved side slope and cross obstacles – were contested in turn, offering car fans at the venue a splendid racing feast. After fierce competition, in the end fifteen drivers including Wang Yanlong from the Beijing area stood out with outstanding skills and vehicle performance and qualified for the finals in Karamay, Dafeng and Yakeshi.
This deserves a round of applause!!!
As for the competitive scenes across the whole arena, four words suffice – "pulse-pounding". The humpback bridge with its fairly large arch had the audience's hearts rising and falling like a hump as the racers crossed it; the slippery road track simulated rainy and snowy weather, testing the balance and handling of the cars the racers drove; the moose test section used cones to set up complex curves, testing the accuracy of the drivers' steering control; and the high side slope and cross obstacles tested vehicle stability and driver control through simulated sloping and rugged roads. Thrilling and exciting, it made one break out in a sweat for the racers.
The 120 contestants each showed their own skills, and their excellent driving standards drew praise and cheers from the spectator stands, with their outstanding performances winning burst after burst of applause and cheering from the audience.
In the CNPC employee experience race on the afternoon of the 23rd, 40 contestants from within the PetroChina system – including PetroChina's Marketing Company and the Beijing, Hebei and Shanghai marketing branches – came to the track to take part. The contestants underwent professional training and track reconnaissance under the guidance of racing instructors, and in the competition they displayed extraordinary driving skills, all passing the tests of the various competition events smoothly; the enthusiastic cheering and support of the PetroChina cheerleading squad off the track also gave the contestants greater confidence. In the end Pei Yongzheng, Ding Zhongqiang, Zhai Wenhui, Cao Ningning and Wang Wenhan successfully qualified for the finals experience race. Among them, Pei Yongzheng from the lubricant company's Production and Operations Department and Ding Zhongqiang from Guangdong BP Petroleum Co., Ltd. even achieved an excellent score of 97 points. After the race, Pei Yongzheng admitted: "It feels good to be able to take part in this competition, first because I am quite satisfied with my result and second because I feel very proud! I believe other colleagues share my confidence, which comes from the products we produce and sell – Kunlun Lubricants. It is precisely because I believe in the excellent quality of Kunlun Lubricants that I can go all out in the competition!"
