Lanzhou Lubricant R&D Center Shows Care for Primary Schools in Impoverished Mountain Areas

On the morning of May 19 and the afternoon of May 22, 2010, the Lanzhou Lubricant Research and Development Center carried out charity donation activities at Zimei Primary School in Ganquan Town, Tianshui City, Gansu and Xinhua Primary School in Shuangta Township, Guazhou County, receiving a warm welcome from students, the schools and the local education bureau.
For this donation activity, all employees of the Lanzhou Lubricant R&D Center responded actively and contributed generously, donating study funds to these schools in impoverished mountain areas and giving large quantities of books, more than a thousand stationery sets, computers and sports equipment. These caring supplies were delivered personally by the convoy taking part in the Kunlun Environmental Care Tour and Kunlun-Suzuki Road Test, ensuring the donated materials reached their destination. Through this donation activity, the organizers hoped to awaken society's awareness of the importance of education, promote the development of basic education, carry forward the fine tradition of helping the poor and those in difficulty and taking pleasure in helping others, and demonstrate PetroChina's social responsibility of caring for and giving back to society.

In addition, some employees of the Lanzhou Lubricant R&D Center will provide one-to-one assistance to 10 particularly needy students at Zimei Primary School in Ganquan Town, forming long-term study support pairs to help these children from families in difficulty realize their dream of going to school and to grow up vigorously together with our Kunlun brand and write the future together.
