350 km/h! Kunlun Lubricants supports high-standard operation of the Beijing–Wuhan section of China’s high-speed railway.

June 7 of each year is designated by the United Nations as “World Food Safety Day,” with the aim of encouraging all parties around the world to attach great importance to food safety issues. This year’s theme is “Safer Food, Better Health,” calling for a series of concrete actions to make food safer. As World Food Safety Day approaches, the NSF H1 Kunlun food-grade hydraulic oil, gear oil, and high-temperature chain oil launched by PetroChina Lubricant Company and registered as food-grade products by the international certification organization NSF International are officially available. This marks Kunlun Lubricants’ commitment to safeguarding the domestic food industry and helping ensure the safety of oil use in the food industry.
On June 20, Kunlun Lubricants’ high-speed rail gearbox oil, supporting the intelligent Fuxing high-speed train, once again achieved “acceleration,” helping add a new line to China’s high-speed rail’s high-standard operation at a speed of 350 kilometers per hour.
At 7:40 a.m. that day, train G66, operated by the CR400AF-Z Fuxing intelligent EMU “Ruilong Zhixing,” departed Wuhan Station on time, marking the successful implementation of regular high-standard operation at a speed of 350 km/h on the Beijing–Wuhan section of the Beijing–Guangzhou High-Speed Railway. China has added another high-speed railway operating at 350 km/h, the highest commercial speed in the world, representing another major achievement in the development of China’s high-speed railway safety standard demonstration lines.
The Beijing–Wuhan section’s high-speed operations have deployed the CR400AF-Z Fuxing intelligent electric multiple unit, independently developed by China, with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour. Its exterior adopts the “Auspicious Dragon Smart Travel” design, with the three colors “Flag Red,” “Forbidden City Red,” and “Auspicious Dragon Yellow” forming the image of a “Dancing Auspicious Dragon.” It integrates new technologies such as cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, and 5G, reducing energy consumption per person per 100 kilometers by 7.9%. Comprehensive upgrades have been achieved in intelligent services and intelligent operation and maintenance, further improving the level of intelligence and passengers’ travel experience. Supporting China’s high-speed rail in achieving a new phase of accelerated development is Kunlun Lubrication’s independently developed high-speed rail gearbox oil. Since 2017, Kunlun Lubrication’s high-speed rail gearbox oil has accompanied the “Fuxing” in jointly establishing a new benchmark for the construction and operation of high-speed railways worldwide, and has also become a shining name card representing China’s speed.
China’s high-speed railways have long used imported Japanese and German gearbox oils, and China was once dependent on others in this technical field. Achieving the domestic production of high-speed railways also requires the domestic production of gearbox oil. The higher gear speeds and operating temperatures of traction gearboxes have posed greater challenges for oil development. After years of unremitting efforts, Kunlun Lubrication successfully developed China’s first high-speed railway gearbox oil route with completely independent intellectual property rights and internationally advanced performance. It is unique worldwide, differing from both the Japanese and German routes. Its transmission efficiency is 3% and 15% higher than that of Japanese and German oils, respectively, while its high-speed scuffing resistance is 67% and 33% higher, respectively. On February 25, 2017, Kunlun high-speed train gearbox oil was officially applied to the “Fuxing” trains. With stable quality and excellent technology, Kunlun Lubrication’s high-speed railway gearbox oil has withstood the test of the world’s fastest high-speed railway operating speed and delivered a satisfactory performance in protecting the “Fuxing” trains over the past five years.
