Feeling the Oil Worker Iron Man Spirit, Witnessing Kunlun's Research Strength

The Daqing leg of the Kunlun Lubricants Cup “China Heart, China Tour” dream-fulfillment journey, which lasted five days and covered nearly 3,000 kilometers, came to a successful conclusion recently. A motorcade made up of more than 20 automotive industry experts, media representatives and 10 vehicle models, through long-distance test drives and visits to the Daqing No. 2 Lubricant Plant and the Iron Man Memorial Hall, on the one hand witnessed up close Kunlun Lubricants' powerful scientific research strength and production processes and felt how the Iron Man spirit is being inherited and carried forward by oilfield workers in Daqing, and on the other hand tested the performance of the award-winning engine models on different road surfaces.

The Daqing leg of the Kunlun Lubricants “China Heart, China Tour” dream-fulfillment journey, jointly organized by PetroChina Lubricant Company and the magazine Auto & Sport evo, set off from Beijing on October 27. Motorcade members rode in ten models fitted with “China Heart” Top Ten Engines award-winning units, including the Volvo XC60, Qoros 3, Citroën C5 and Geely New Emgrand, passing through Shenyang, Changchun, Harbin and other places before finally reaching their destination — the Daqing No. 2 Lubricant Plant. That afternoon, accompanied by Zhou Yuxue, deputy director of the Daqing No. 2 Lubricant Plant, and Chen Hong, director of the office, the automotive industry experts, media and staff toured the plant's laboratory, central control room and production workshops. During the tour, Zhou Yuxue gave a detailed introduction to the construction and development of the Daqing No. 2 Lubricant Plant and answered questions from the automotive industry experts and media. Afterwards, in the meeting room, Zhou Yuxue, heads of various departments of the No. 2 Lubricant Plant and motorcade members held a discussion, jointly talking about this year's Top Ten Engines selection, the test-drive experience, and issues related to Kunlun Lubricants and indeed the entire lubricant industry.

After touring the Daqing No. 2 Lubricant Plant, Wang Binggang, head of the supervision and consulting expert group for the National “863 Program” energy-saving and new energy vehicle major project, said he believed Kunlun Lubricants' R&D strength, production technology and product quality had reached international levels. He said: “I have always been very particular about quality, and here, after seeing the lubricant blending process and hearing employees explain the quality control methods, I have no doubts whatsoever about Kunlun lubricant products.”

The main content of this Daqing trip was visiting the Iron Man Memorial Hall, the drilling rig of the Jian Dao 1202 drilling team where Wang Jinxi worked during his lifetime, and the team headquarters of the Jian Dao 1202 drilling team. During the visit, Wang Jianxin, deputy director of Tsinghua University's State Key Laboratory of Automotive Safety and Energy, felt he had undergone a kind of baptism. He said: “Iron Man Wang Jinxi not only had the spirit of dedicating himself to making the country strong, but also the quality of great virtue carrying all things.
