Young Employees of the Karamay Lubricant Plant Win Awards at a Physical Fitness Competition

Recently, the Communist Youth League committee of Karamay City and the oilfield company held the eighth "Communist Youth Cup" youth physical fitness challenge. The Karamay Lubricant Plant organized League members and young people to take part in this fitness challenge for the first time and returned covered in honours.
This edition of the "Communist Youth Cup" youth physical fitness challenge attracted 822 young people from 44 units across the city. With a large number of participants and a wide range of entrants, it was the largest and most ceremonious youth physical fitness challenge of all the editions so far. The Karamay Lubricant Plant selected 18 athletes and took part in two of the four competition events, namely group basketball shooting and group long-rope skipping.
In order to organize the competition well, and despite tight staffing and busy production, the Karamay Lubricant Plant actively organized 18 young employees to train in their spare time. During the short 10-day training period, the 18 competitors worked with one heart and trained hard. Their ankles became swollen and painful from training, yet they paid this no attention at all. With this spirit of tenacious struggle and of pulling together as one rope, the competitors of the Karamay Lubricant Plant, entering for the first time, not only competed at a high level but also in fine style.
In the competition, the competitors of the Karamay Lubricant Plant were calm and composed, of one mind and brave in striving, giving full play to team spirit. In the end, in the group basketball shooting competition they took third place in this fitness challenge with 56 points, and in the group long-rope skipping competition they achieved a good result of sixth place. As a result, the Karamay Lubricant Plant's results in both events it entered in this fitness challenge were within the top eight, and it won a group third prize.

This was the first time since its establishment that the Karamay Lubricant Plant organized League members and young people to take part in a large-scale physical fitness challenge organized by the Communist Youth League committee of the city and the oilfield company. This activity further strengthened the collective sense of honour of all League members and young people, inspired their team spirit, raised the corporate profile of the Karamay Lubricant Plant and further encouraged employees throughout the plant to be willing to make contributions for an even better tomorrow for the Karamay Lubricant Plant.
