Kunlun Lubricants Joins Forces with the Auto Industry to Support Its Development

For a long time, China's auto industry has faced severe international competition, and how to promote independent innovation, cultivate professional talent and truly realize the dream of becoming an automotive powerhouse is a stern test for every auto-related enterprise. For many consecutive years it has fully supported the Formula Student China competition (FSC) and the “China Heart” Top Ten Engines selection (known as “China Heart”), supporting the development of China's auto industry in many ways.
In April 2014, the “China Heart” Annual Top Ten Engines selection, which Kunlun Lubricants has supported for five consecutive years, was officially launched. At the launch ceremony, leaders and experts from Kunlun Lubricants joined representatives of the organizers, automakers and industry experts in a lively discussion of the participating engines and selection criteria. At the same time, Dong Hongyi, a representative of PetroChina Lubricant Company, delivered a speech titled “The Current Status and Development Trends of Automotive Lubricant Technology,” explaining how, against the trend of energy saving and emissions reduction in the auto industry, Kunlun's lubricant technology is developing in step with changes in fuels and in-cylinder combustion technology, and highlighting the new Kunlun Tianrun high-end passenger-car oil with its super anti-wear and energy-saving, environmentally friendly performance.
In March this year, the “Kunlun Lubricants Cup” 2014 Formula Student China (FSC) was officially launched. This is the fourth consecutive year that Kunlun Lubricants has supported the event, and it continues the company's public-welfare philosophy. During the event, Kunlun Lubricants sent experts to work with the organizing committee in visiting campuses to popularize lubrication knowledge and concepts, held face-to-face exchanges with racing team members and car enthusiasts, and interacted with students and answered their questions through Kunlun's public information platform, hotline and official microblog and other channels. Through these activities, Kunlun Lubricants genuinely cares for elite automotive students, encouraging automotive majors to innovate independently and to grow and progress through practice.
At the 2014 Formula Student Germany competition, which concluded on August 3, the Xiamen University of Technology team — last year's champion of Formula Student China — competed on behalf of China and won the individual “Fuel Economy” title, finishing 26th overall with a total score of 458.21 points, setting a new record for a Chinese student racing team in this event. This year marks the fifth anniversary of FSC, and after the test of four competitions the event has achieved tremendous success, genuinely cultivating a group of outstanding innovative student talent.
At present, the campus tour and launch events of FSC have concluded, and the registration stage of the “China Heart” event is about to end. Kunlun Lubricants will continue to give strong support to the remaining stages of both events. At the end of September the “China Heart” event will enter its real-vehicle testing stage, and a grand awards ceremony will be held in late October to determine the winners of the 2014 Top Ten Engines honors. In October, FSC will also kick off its official competition in Xiangyang, where the participating teams from various universities will display the racing cars they designed and built themselves. Kunlun Lubricants will then provide the finest lubricants free of charge to all participating teams in both events and provide prize money for the competitions.
